1.01 rookie dynasty owners, what are you being offered? What are you selling for? (1 Viewer)

I am mulling over my 1.1 for Hopkins and 1.5. This is a 12 Team PPR start 3 RB and start 3 WR league and no flex so RBs have a lot more value in this format IMO. Hopkins would slot in as my WR1 over Watkins (I also have Diggs, Arob) and the Rookie RB available would replace Barkley. I know it sounds “easy” but I am not sure given this set up.

Hopkins + Chubb/Jones/Michel or Barkley?

Oof. Gimme Hopkins + the RB, personally.

(get him to sweeten it a TOUCH more, even tho Id accept that... you can probably get a little more, even tho you realistically shouldnt be)

easy accept

Makes sense.

I tend to view dynasty as "the next 3 seasons" when I make trades, and I think those guys have 2-4 real good years left, but I hear you on that point.

Do you think subbing Keenan Allen for Green makes it a fair offer?
Agree with others. Problem is that three years from now Barkley will be 24 while the youngest player you offered is almost 30 and the rest are over.  Barkley just has too long of a window to bridge, even if those players would have a better season (which they should).  Would need another prospect on the younger side.

Okie Dokie.

The draft is over. What are the offers that you, the 1.01 owners are getting? What are you now looking for?

Quiet so far in the four leagues I own the 1.01. But my first draft is not until 5/5, so maybe people are formulating their offers (or maybe they aren't that interested in the pick).
I put the 1.01 up for sale (just to see what would happen) on Thursday Night with our draft starting this past Monday. I got one offer (1.07 and Allen Robinson - and he said he was willing to add more). I just picked Barkley, which was likely the best course of action anyway.

Saw this one go down in a 32-team (two copies of each player) IDP this week.

Brown, Antonio PIT WR
Year 2019 Round 1 Draft Pick
Year 2019 Round 2 Draft Pick
Year 2019 Round 3 Draft Pick
Year 2019 Round 6 Draft Pick
Year 2020 Round 2 Draft Pick
Year 2020 Round 3 Draft Pick

for

Year 2018 Draft Pick 1.02
Year 2018 Draft Pick 3.02

Edit to add: Team giving up Barkley is knee deep in a complete rebuild that started early last season.  Team getting Barkley is a new owner who just finished dispersal draft.

I agree with the others. I’d accept that quickly, and I’m a huge fan of Barkley.

I mean, I get it that he wants more future draft picks, but why in the world would a rebuild go with an "older" WR as their core player?

I don't see Barkley here.  Is the 1.02 supposed to be 1.01?

Because AB has plenty of time left to play and he can flip him in week 3 when OBJ stubs his pinky toe.

Just curious, what more would it take added to that for you?

I offered the 1.01 owner in one of my leagues 1.07/ARob/2019 1st and 1.07/ARob/Ajayi and both he said he was considering but ended up turning down.  Was considering just putting it all together for all four assets but not sure if that makes it an overpay.

Actual trade in my league:

Team A gave up Nelson, Jordy OAK WR; Year 2018 Draft Pick 1.01;Year 2018 Draft Pick 2.01

Team B gave up Gordon, Melvin LAC RB;Brown, Antonio PIT WR.

I’m not a Gordon believer but that may get me off of Barkley

How much would you need to be added to 1.01 if you were selling Zeke? I have Zeke in tons of leagues and the 1.01 owner is after him. I'm thinking of lessening my shares if I can get the right price.

I would have preferred a pick a little earlier than1.07 to begin with. But adding another first would have made me consider it.

Not much, like a 2nd rounder maybe?

I know it will be unpopular here, but I'd probably ask for my favorite "out of favor" young player on his team (for example, I'm still a Corey Coleman believer) with the 1.01, but would be down to relent and just trade straight up if it is a full point PPR league. But you can hopefully gauge what you can get away with from your dialogue with the guy. Squeeze as much as possible from him.

Had a guy ask me yesterday what it would take for my 1.01, I didn't answer as I don't see it my responsibility to make an offer for my own pick, but I did chat with him a bit and tell him it takes an elite level player, plus picks.  I would take Barkley as high as 1.04 in a startup.  Telling this guy that and he's my #2 dynasty RB.  He proceeded to say something along these lines "so it would take my 1.04, 1.05, and future 1st minimum?"  I didn't say yes, I just reiterated that I don't want all draft picks, and that an elite player needs to be included.

Thought this was worth sharing.

12 Team PPR: Start 3 RB, 3 WR, No flex

Gave: Barkley

Got: OBJ, D. Henry, 2019 2

Just completed this deal.

That's not a rare sentiment.  I was after Gurley in another league where I have multiple 1sts and offered 2 of them (1.03 and 1.11) along with a 2019 1st and was politely declined.  He, too, wanted a player/pick combo.  I tried to offer a combination of picks and Devonta Freeman / OJ Howard (and he's bereft of TEs) and he still declined... which I thought was a little koo-koo.

I offered Kamara and Mike Williams for the pick (unsurprisingly) with no luck.

In another league, Evans and Mixon for 1.01 and KB was discussed, but the Barkley owner eventually decided to sit tight.

I thought I was as big on Barkley as anyone but even I'd have to take the other sides here

A deal you wanted to do was "koo-koo" for the other guy to reject?

THAT is koo-koo

I understand people asking for the farm. People are giving it. It bothers me when someone refers to startup value- I guess it’s a reference point, but it goes out the window if it’s not a startup draft.

I am being offered this for 1.01:

Jones, Zay BUF WR

Engram, Evan NYG TE

Year 2018 Draft Pick 1.07

I do have a plethora of RBs on my roster (Cook; D. Henry; D. Lewis; Alex Collins; Jamaal Williams; Duke). I do need a TE (only have Jack Doyle).  And my top WR is Amari Cooper and not much behind him so Jones wouldn't be a bad add.

1.07 would probably yield Freemon; K Johnson or DJ Moore.

Haven't decided yet but think I will pass.

Not even close imo.

I use startup value as a tool in trades.  Has served me well.  More than a reference point IMO, but I see what you are saying

Also was offered this.

Gordon, Melvin LAC RB;Engram, Evan NYG TE

Collins, Alex BAL RB; Year 2018 Draft Pick 1.01

Neither of these are close, IMO. If you’re not coming out of this with Gurley, Hopkins, OBJ, or maybe DJ or Bell, then you should be holding.

10 team PPR 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 Flex(RB, WR, or TE)

Team A Received 1.01, 3.01, 3.04

Team B Received:  1.07, 2.01, Derrick Henry, Dion Lewis, Trey Burton, and Josh Gordon.

Team A now has Bell, Barkley, OBJ, Evans, ARob, and Ertz.

So would you 1.01 owners accept or laugh at a 1.02+1.03 offer?  12 team 0.5 PPR.
I would pass, since I would want an established player in return for the 1.01. If you have a clear tier break after 1.03 and believe in the #2 and #3 rookie RB than it might/should be close for you though.
