1.15: Who Should The Pittsburgh Steelers Take? (1 Viewer)

the latest from ESPN, NFL Network (Jamie Dukes) and Sports Illustrated all have the Steelers selecting Lawrence Timmons at 1.15 FWIW.
LT seems to be the best 3-4 OLB prospect in the draft, and the Steelers greatest need seems to be OLB. Most of the draft experts rave about his potential and upside....to me he does look a bit small compared to the OLBs we are used to seeing. But if Timmons is their guy I could live with that. Give him a year to get his feet wet with Harrison and Haggans and he'd be our guy in 2008.

Anthony Spencer is far more the size/speed combo for a 3-4 OLB - Timmons is very undersized for an edge rusher.

Sigmund, my dream pick in this draft would be Willis , but Carriker would do just fine IMO. Don't asked me why, but I don't want Timmons at 15, just doesn't feel right...

This is the craziest Steelers draft year in memory, they could take almost any position, and I would not be suprised.
