$1-3 Bargain Bin Auction Players - who ya like? (1 Viewer)

Every auction draft, managers pay big for big players, and rightly so. Then when everyone's their wad, the rosters get filled with $1-3 players.

Naturally, some of these will substantially put-produce their draft value.

Who ya got?

Why do you think they’ll vastly out-produce their draft value?

*disclaimer - I’m in the middle of an auction draft, so it’s not entirely unselfishly that I post this topic. ;)   Still, I think it’s a relevant topic for anyone doing an auction league, and I didn’t see a topic like it, so... :pickle:

In my big auction league, there is some top-heavy drafting. QB TDs are worth 6 and the top player goes between $65-$80 out of a $200 budget. Antonio Brown went for 80 once and I suspect Barkley will go for 77 is my guess this year. That said on the bottom end there will be some shocking deals available.

I think a guy like Latavius Murray could find himself in the $1-3 bin. Wouldn't be surprised to find a potential TE1 like Waller or Andrews for $1.

Robby Anderson, Moncrief (or Washington), Corey Davis (would not be surprised), Coutee, Sutton, Mike Williams, Anthony Miller, MVS, #2 RB in Atlanta, #1 RB in Tampa, DJ Moore, Penny. *Some* of those names will fall not all.

Certainly rookies like Harris and Singletary. Big 10-4 on JJAW above. Henderson won't have the hype in my auction redraft that he has in dynasty circles. He could slide here. Metcalf too.

And for bonus points, why do you think he’ll exceed draft value?
Last year his points per game before going down were top 20 in ppr.  Even if he recesses he could still end up as a solid bye week fill in with wr2 upside as the wr on that offense catching balls in the middle.

Have a hard time seeing any of those QBs go that cheaply. Or Howard.

I look to have access points to really good offensive teams. Philosophically, I'm buying the location as opposed to the talent. Some examples:

Green Bay

MVS, Allison, J. Graham

Kansas City

Hyde, D. Thompson

Indy

D. Funchess, J. Doyle

LA Chargers

J. Jackson- everyone thinks Ekeler is the primary cuff but Jackson might just be better positioned to take that role.

Outside of this group, a couple of guys I like:

Ted Ginn

Desean Jackson

both not consistent but can pop if you catch them on the right week.
