Not in any order.

Cookie Gilchrist  first AFL 1000 yard rusher, Bills

**** Bass first Ram  1000 yard rusher

Paul Lowe  first Charger  1000 yard rusher

Abner Haynes first "star" in the AFL, he could do it all, first Chief 1000 yard rusher

Roger Craig, first1000/1000 receiving/rushing RB for my Niners.

Otis Anderson  a monster with the Cards, his he still their all time leading rusher?

Wilbert Montgomery had some great seasons with the Eagles, might still be their all time rusher.

Bo Jackson  the fastest RB on a football field, but....career too short.

Mack"The Truck" Lee Hill, a monster who ran like he was pissed off, an injury did him in and killed him.

I didn't even know there was a root beer hall of fame, but for my money, nothing beats Sprecher's.

Bo came in with no training camp, after playing a full season of major league baseball, so you can scarcely say he had "fresh legs" and effortlessly put up 5.4 ypc and a 1,320 yard pace. Three of his four seasons he had the longest rush in the league.

If Bo had been a full time NFL player we'd be talking about him among the GOAT.

No one is saying he should be in the HoF. This thread is specifically for players not in the HoF so I think we're good.

Bo is easily in the conversation for best player not in the HoF at any position.

Let's play a little game.

I will list an NCAA school and all the 1000 yard rushers they had in the NFL.  Then you do one then I'll do another one then......

Mike Garrett

O.J.Simpson

Charles White

Marcus Allen

Sam Cunningham

Ricky Bell

Reggie Bush

Billy Sims...first two seasons averaged over 1900 yards from scrimmage and 16 TDs per season before turf toe ruined his career.   And the Lions were terrible otherwise.  A top 10 RB of all-time if he had a complete career.  Watch his first game as a pro.  I am not sure a RB who had a better combination of speed, power, moves.
