Brandon Pettigrew had a very nice stat line week two, is he only worth an add with the current QB?

Aaron Hernandez also had nice stats this week, was this only due to the fact that the Pats were behind?

Tony Moeaki has also had looks in the first two weeks, does the weakness at QB mean this rook TE will flourish?

In most larger leagues these guys aren't floating on the waiver wire but in smaller (ten team leagues) they are. I don't follow KC, DET or NE that closely, just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on these guys as fill-ins for the top tier guys. Does one stand out in PPR?

Well since this overwhelming response is not so overwhelming I'm going to rank em this way:

Hernandez

Moeaki

Pettigrew

with an asterick for Hernandez because knowing Belichek, his number won't get called again for ages just to keep the other D's off balance. That said, NE is a pass first offense, has the best QB delivering the ball and has the best opportunity to isolate one-on-one coverage for the TE. Moeaki has a ton of potential and should average 4-6 catches a game with upside, he doesn't have Welker and Moss to compete with for catches. Not really sure what to make of Pettigrew eventhough he was highly regarded in the draft/coming out of college. Is he just coming back from the injury?

Is Hernandez from NE not available? I think he is the clear favorite there over Gronkowski. He has the best QB situation.

Moeaki is getting a lot of targets, but Cassel hasn't looked very good against San Diego (at home) and a poor Cleveland team. I think he will be good for a consistent 7-10 pts per week.

Pettigrew is very high risk/high reward. Last 6 games:

1.7, 13, 2.3, 13.2, 1.2, .6, 10.8 in non-PPR.

I'd rank 'em Hernandez, Moeaki, Pettigrew, Gronkowski

You're absolutely correct, huge brainfart on Gronkowski and Hernandez. and edited the posts to reflect that...meant Hernandez, the guy with 7/146 for NE. Does NE make you question his consistency with history with inconsistent TE production? Or does this kid just have the ability to remain "THE" option at TE?

I am also curious about Hernandez and Moeaki. I am in a 12 team PPR dynasty and looking to stash a TE with breakout potential this year or next. Moeaki intrigues me just due to the lack of other studs (unlike NE). As a Badger fan, I saw a little bit of him at Iowa, but nothing is memorable. Any Hawkeye fans out there have any insights on the guy?
