100 Yard Rush vs 100 yard Rec (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know where I can look to find some stats on this? I wanna see if the numbers have gone up/down in relation to each other over the years.

I am assuming Rec has gone up and Rush has gone down, but I need documented proof. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks.

If you can't find that exact information you could probably take a look at yards per game for the top 20 receivers and rbs over the past decade or so and see if there is a trend of the gap widening.

I would add to that years of production going down faster for RB's because of the beating they take.

Well basically I need the info becuase a guy at my work wants to know what is "easier" to do...so specific players isnt important.

I just want how many 100 yard rush games happened last year and how many 100 receiving games.

There were 142 100+ rushing performances last year

There were 164 100+ Receiving performances

(This data was taken from the Game Log Domniator available on this site.)

This shows all WRs and TEs with 100 or more receiving yards in a game, and all QBs and RBs with 100 or more rushing yards in a game. No WR has hit the 100-yard rushing mark in a long time, but three RBs last year hit the 100 yard receiving mark last year, which explains why the game log dominator showed 164 and this table shows 161. I've also included the 5, 10, and 20-year averages.

How many running backs/quarterbacks made up those 142 games versus how many receivers made up those 161 games?

That is impressive..I continue to be amazed by you guys.

D Rock - welcome to the site. The breakdown of 100 yard games for RBs and WRs only is even closer.

How many running backs/quarterbacks made up those 142 games versus how many receivers made up those 161 games?
I've got a bunch of other stuff to work on today, but I'll try to get back to this later for you.
