failgenerally agree with the rest tho.
That's my favorite of the football themes. Dun Dun Da Da Duuuuuun Dun, Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da!
The Monday Night Theme song in which you are referring to rocks. They are referring to Faith Hill singing "I've been waiting all day for Sunday Night..." to Joan Jett's I Hate Myself for Loving You. I honestly change the channel when it's on because the annoyingness trumps Faith Hill's hotness.
That's what the mute button is for so you can get the "Eye Candy" without the annoying singing :lmao:
Faith Hill is not hot. Hate to break it to you. But I agree, that song is the #1 worst part of SNF. I mute or change the channel.

Agree with alot of the list.

I'll add:

That coverage of the NFL, from ESPN, to NFL Radio, to the NFL Network, has largely devolved to tabloid coverage of the players, or debates about rules of the game.

No, I don't care if Favre and Chilly aren't getting along. No, I don't care to debate the minutiae of what exactly constitutes an illegal helmet to helmet hit.

What happened to actually covering what happened in the games that week? How about spending more than 5 seconds talking about a player who isn't Favre/TO/James Harrison?

When you're watching a game on TV, after a team scores they go to commercial. Usually 4 or 5 minutes of commercials. But then when the game comes back on, after the kickoff is returned, they go back to freaking commercials! Too many TV timeouts if you ask me

Yes, that's one thing the NCAA coverage does a lot less, makes up for their unending halftimes.

Cris Collinsworth in general but especially when he says someone was "dead to rites"......seems like every damn week he says it.

My List:1) Chris Berman. Stop the over the top nickname schtick that died years ago. Take a shower, buy a new suit and tie or two, and tone it down. Please.1A) Adam Schein. Use your real voice, don't try to be Howard Cosell. 2) Come on, man! AWFUL bit.3) The Fox robots. Good call above.4) The Jared and Every Kiss Begins with Kay commercials that they will try to hit the guys with come Christmas time and the playoffs as Valentine's Day approaches. No Jane Seymour, no one wants your double heart pendant that looks like a symmetrical sack-o-nuts around their neck. 5) Fantasy football sites and media that assume everyone is in an 8 or a 10 man league where rockstars are just waiting for you on the waiver wire.6) Brett Favre drama.
 1 & 2 are probably my two favorite aspects of football these days.
So you like Berman and Schein screaming at you, and you like Come on, man? Forcing Ditka to do that is cringeworthy.
Berman yes - my post had no mention of 1a - DA RAIDERS!!! And you couldn't be more right about Ditka, it's funny how weird he looks.

one thing I hate about fantasy football: the terms "buying low" and "selling high". Count the threads on the 1st page of this forum, there's at least 5-10 topics with those phrases in the title. Stop pretending to be a stock broker, and shutup already.

I'm surprised I haven't seen an article like this sooner, but WSJ online actually broke down the amount of laughter during the NFL pre-game shows in a brief article. Naturally, Fox is the winner. I stopped watching the pre-games a few years ago mainly because of this. It's beyond annoying. I miss the days of NFL Today in the 70's, 80's. I know it's football, and it doesn't have to be serious, but come on, Fox's pre-game treats its audience like they're 10. How about just a little class ala NFL Films presentations (even though they try and elevate football to mythic status). I guess I devote that hour before kickoff to re-checking fantasy/NFL related news online, so the pre-game is unneccesary, but I do miss that element of the pre-game show to my football Sundays. CBS, ESPN, NFL Network have their moments, but they too frequently fall into that "6 guys talking over each other, laughing" bit that gets so old real quick.

Stu Scott's worn out catch phrases;

"Cool as the other side of the pillow!"

"Call him butta, 'cause he is on a roll!"

"Dude is reDONKulous!"

I generally just mute it and wait until the end where she's dancing around in the skimpy black skirt with the boots

Only really noticed this since my 5 year old son starting watching football with me...

Can there be any more extremely GORY ads for shows like CSI during football games?

Thank goodness I have TiVo. I just pause the game during commercials and then fast forward

through them so my son doesn't see someone get their head shot off every 10 minutes.

That somewhere along the line the NFL became all about the LOSERS. Cowboys are 1-7. Vikings are 3-5 and a mess. The T.O./Ocho experiment in Cincinatti is a failure. Does the sports media talk about the accomplishments of the teams that actually BEAT those teams? Nah.

Totally agree here. Bradshaw constantly cackling and the guys around him having to go along with it is so lame.

What is wrong with people having a good time and laughing? It is real..not a lame laugh track. Half the time I start laughing when I hear others laugh.

Worthless. I haven't watched their pregame in decades. My Sunday mornings are:

- church

- Cecil/Sigmund on the Ticket

- ESPN2's fantasy pregame right up to kickoff

Everything else is noise.

To me it feels forced. Not natural. That's what I don't like about it.

1. When fans at Bucs games chant "RUUUUUDDDD!!!!" after Barrett Ruud makes a tackle 15 yards downfield

2. International games

3. Someone saying that Jon Gruden isn't a good coach because he won the Superbowl with Dungy's team

4. Philadelphia Eagles

5. Philadelphia Eagles Fans

6. Adam Schein

7. When anyone on ESPN (or any other network) mentions their fantasy team

8. Not allowing team celebrations after TDs (it is a team game afterall)

9. When a player dances after making a big play when his team is losing 42-10

10. Fantasy players ignoring trade offers (just decline it if you aren't interested)

Best pregame show out there is Fantasy Now on ESPN 2. Thats not just because it relates to fantasy. These guys are pretty much all business on Sunday morning because it's their thing. Karabell, Berry and Hasselback actually give good insight to football games along with their rankings. Then you get the quick hits from the stadiums on injuries. There really isn't any better pregame show to get actual information on football.

I'll add mine, how the announcers select one player and just drool over them the entire game is naseauting. Usually it's a QB and someone like Brady or Manning. Last night it was Vick and it got to the point where for the first time in my life I wanted to turn off an NFL game and hand over the remote to my wife.

Surprised but I don't think I've seen commercials. If you watch the games live you're ready to put a gun to your head by half time. Timeout.......commercial....TD......commercial.....kickoff.....go to a commercial......2 minute warning.....commercial.....replay......commercial.....etc.

An how about Instant Replay. What's instant about it?

1.Every personality on the NFL Network not named Faulk,Woodson or Warner

2.Over the top laughing on FOX pregame

3.Fantasy experts that quote that certain players are available in x% of leagues when half those leagues are not being used by the people who created them.

4.Tony Siragusa and the way he adds nothing to the broadcast.

5.The fact that NFL films doesn't have their own channel 24/7.

6.He's rumblin, bumblin , stum...........enough!

7.July fantasy drafts or any draft before the third pre-season game.

8.Experts who are in 15 fantasy league and brag about winning one of them.

9.NFL Network ticker-----it's too slow!!!!

10.Dallas Cowboys

Due to a lot of scheduling issues I hadn't watched a ton of pregame prior to last weekend when I wasi n a bar to watch the Giants game and sat through most of the last hour of FOX's show.WOW.

great stuff, all but 7, 8 and 11 the "hate" word fits.

I need to add to it as well

12. I hate the fact the referee's wear black and white instead of their true colors, black white and whatever puke yellow color the steelers call their gold.

Mike Ditka starting his next sentance before he finishes the one he's saying.

Frank Caliendo. He used to be somewhat funny but all of those "Frank" ads a few years ago were too much.

if i may add

1. NFL Network isnt free.

2. NFL network isnt broad casted internationally.

3. every nfl analysis not named Gruden that shows up during nfl games.

Jaworski is literally the only commentator I can stand to listen to.

Gruden is a moron.

Typical MNF commentary:

-Torico or Jaworski give a play-by-play or a break down

-Gruden Agrees

-Gruden Repeats what they just said

-Gruden adds "color" commentary (Ex. X player is the best player in the league, Y player is Z animal... says Z animal actions)

EVERY MONDAY.
