Next, a way of indicating the date's relationship to October 3, 2014 - like "AD" or "BC" ("CE" or "BCE" for you new-age folks.) I nominate "AM" or "Anno Masturbari." That is, "In the year of..." well, I think you get it. I think this is reasonable and fair. The pre- yoga pants thread should be "AT" - "Anno Tenebris." "In the year of darkness."

Can we continue on this, or are there objections/better suggestions?
