Started binge watching season 2 to get caught up. WTF is going on? This show is going the path of Helix/Fringe. Only renewed for 10 episodes next season, and looking at the ratings its probably the last.

12 MONKEYS Renewed for a Fourth and Final Season by Syfy

The third season of 12 MONKEYS hasn’t premiered yet, but Syfy has renewed the show for a fourth season. Here’s the catch, however: season 4 will be the show’s last.
In addition, Syfy has announced that season 3 of 12 MONKEYS will premiere on May 19 and the show will air its entire 10 episode third season over the span of 3 days — four episodes will air on May 19 and then three episodes each will air on the next two nights.
“12 MONKEYS has a dedicated and enthusiastic fan-base thanks to the epic storytelling by Terry Matalas, and the stellar cast and crew,” said Jeff Wachtel, president and chief content officer, NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. “We are thrilled to be able to offer fans an opportunity to binge the third season as a reward for their lasting support, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where Terry takes us with the final chapter of this fabulous story in the fourth season.”
Season 4 will also consist of 10 episodes but it likely won’t premiere until 2018.

interesting. I love the idea of being able to binge-watch the whole thing, but it also kind of sucks I won't be able to see season 4 for another year.
I am glad they are going to let the show go to conclusion, instead of killing it without wrapping everything up. I was into Jerico and was bummed that it just died without continuing.

The 11-episode season will unspool over four consecutive weeks, with three episodes airing each Friday from 8 to 11 pm until the two-hour series finale on Friday, July 6 at 9 pm. (The entire third season, by comparison, was broadcast over just three consecutive days last May.)
The Season 3 finale — which will have aired over a year ago by the time the show’s swan song debuts — concluded with Olivia slitting the throat of Cole and Cassie’s son Athan before taking her place as The Witness. Meanwhile, back in 2047, Titan splintered. Then an episode-ending coda hinted at the possibility that Cole’s mother was primary.
Season 4 finds Cassie and Cole “on an epic quest, traveling further back in time than they have ever been before,” per the official release. “According to legend, their only hope lies with a weapon capable of stopping the Witness for good. But they’ll soon discover that in order to win the final battle and save time itself, they will have to make the ultimate sacrifice.”

Just got done with season 4 - the final season. I'm so happy they were able to give it a conclusion and let it come to an end.
Season 3 was excellent, IMO. Season 4 got a little "hoping the next leap will bring them home", but it did have a big finish.
This was the best show no one watched. Definitely binge-worthy, and my favorite show I've seen in a really long time.
