13 - 0 ... who pulled it off? (1 Viewer)

Just finished 13 - 0 in my league, never seen an undefeated through the regular season in 8 or so years of FF. I'm curious how many Brady owners did it, or how many who had the Romo/T.O. combo did it. Those seem to be the common factor in the dominant teams I've seen.

12 Team ReDraft PPR league, 1pt per 10 yds rush or rec, 6pts per TD, 1 pt per Rec, 2 pts for 125+ yds. Passing 1 pt per 25 yds, 5 per TD, -2 per pick, 2 pts for 300+yds. Kicker and Def is standard.

QB = T. Romo/J. Kitna

RB = ADP/K.J./Gore/Benson

WR = T.O./Plax/J. Cotchery/P.Crayton/K. Walter

TE = C. Cooley/B. Watson/G. Olsen ( 3 TE's, crazy... I know, I just didn't want to cut any of them, and nobody would deal )

K = J. Hanson

DEF = DAL/G.B.

Our league is too competitive for anyone to ever go 13-0. Best record this year is 3 guys at 9-4.

You would win 7-9 games with that lineup.

Total opposite as we dont have a team clinched yet nor will we after this week. Unfortunantly, we have playoffs week 15, 16, and 17 but we have 10 of the 12 teams that are either 8-5, 7-6, or 6-7 after this week.

I won my regular season title today at 9-4 also.Best record I think we've ever had in our league was 10-3 (the Manning owner in 2004 when Manning threw 49 TDs).

Plenty of competitive leagues can have someone go undefeated if that person has a good team plus luck on their side. Get over yourself.

Manning owner that year went 10-3 in our league. Best ever was a fluke 11-2 where he hit a bunch of weak teams at the right time. Best record ever in our's was way back in 1995 at 14-2 with some weeks with double games. No one has ever even come close to undefeated.

Fixed.
You're the one that said a team in your league went 11-2 because he ran into A BUNCH OF WEAK TEAMS at the right time. What in the he** are a bunch of weak teams doing in your ultra competitive league?

We have a team in our league with the 3rd most points and finished last! A great record in head to head league = good team + a lot of luck.

I would be braggin' too if I went 13-0!

Who is this guy???? Every post is negative and perfect for the poo(l). Why can't I be more like him? If I were, I would be awsomer than awsome.

Congrats to anyone who made it undefeated through the entire regular season. That is VERY hard to do. I've only done that once in 2003, and was REALLY close this year but ended up 12-1.

I readily admit, I had a ton of good fortune along the way. I had the least points scored against me, had good fortune on byes, and was able to shoulder my first two RBs being busts (Gore/Benson). However, I doubt that the roster I listed only wins 7 games in any league with more than 8 teams. It averaged 134 pts per game, and has a few guys who have had monster seasons (Romo, T.O., ADP), and managed to go 13 - 0 in a 12 team league.Sorry, I was a little suprised, a little proud, and thought I'd share with the pool and see if anyone else pulled off the feat.

I'm 12-0 and losing by 100 pts this week with CJ, Reed and Pitt Def yet to play. Oh well.

I started Anderson over Manning this week, but even with manning I wouldn't win.

Bush, Addai, Lynch

CJ, Roy, Walker, Marshall, Crayton

Gates

Graham, Reed

Pitt, GB

to go 13-0 would depend more so on your matchup each week than your team. sure you have to have a good team but.....

in my main $$$ league my record at present is 6-6 with the second most points and the most points against. if i had played a lower scoring team a couple of those weeks no doubt my record would have been better. then you have other members that play and beat the only team in the league they could have beat.

weekly matchups matter more

He has been nothing but sour grapes...enjoy and forget the fantasy trashers. Post here and expect no love, that is just the way the super awsome , always spectacular pool goes. If you have more wins than the team in question, you are in a weak league. It happens, brag and enjoy.

I am likely to tie the all-time best regualr season record at 11-2. Our league is in its 15th year...just too competitive to expect an undefeated season. This will be only the second time a team went 11-2.

Could have been 12-1, I lost a close game two weeks ago 3 points....and the guy that beat me would have lost had I not traded him Brett Favre.

Really aside from Brady I have a very pedestrian offense - but my IDP crew is significantly better than the rest of the league. Makes a huge difference.

What he doesn't mention is that his league is so competitive that 7-9 would be good for first overall.

in roughly 10 years of playing fantasy football and roughly about 20-25 seasons, i have managed it once...

and promptly lost my 1st round playoff game

13-0 here baby! Standard Yahoo scoring but we start 2QBs. I didn't make a SINGLE trade the whole year- just a solid solid draft.

Starter with bench players in ()'s:

QB - Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger (David Garrard)

RB - Willie Parker, Adrian Peterson, Jamal Lewis (Jesse Chatman, Kolby Smith, Derrick Ward, Selvin Young)

WR - Terrell Owens, Braylon Edwards, Andre Johnson (Dwayne Bowe)

TE - Kellen Winslow

K - Mason Crosby

DEF - Tampa Bay

Can you tell I'm a Browns homer?

WE DONT NEED NO STINKIN' BRADY

:whoosh:

I just pulled it off

16 team IDP Dynasty league

Had a few close lucky wins, I am also the highest scoring team.

So naturally, I am crapping a brick thinking I will lay a goose egg after my BYE week.

I went 12-1. I losing the last game of the regular season. Im losing to P. Manning, Tomlinson, SJax, Edwards, A. Johnson, Gates, Patriots D.

My roster is QB- Palmer, Brees, Clemens

RB- Westy, Lynch, Grant, Maroney

WR- Wayne, Roy, Housh, Bowe

TE- Miller, Olsen

K- Reed

DEF- Chargers

Start 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, K, DEF

The very first year I ever played I went undefeated. It was 2002 and I was drafting from a magazine.

Drafting out of the number 9 slot of a 12 team league I got stupid lucky taking Holmes in the first, Harrison at the turn in the second. and taking Gannon as the fourth QB off the board in the third. It was like every pick for the first 8 or 10 rounds were exactly what I should have taken. I think Ward, Henry and Heap rounded out my roster. None of these were reaches or slips, I took them where the magazine told me to take them. I think I made three roster moves all year, and two of them were defense moves.

It was all luck. Simple as that. I have never even come close to that kind of success again.

10 teamer, so not very big. Typically pretty competitive though, no one has ever come close to being perfect. I'm just laying waste to teams this year...

10-3, more than likely

Palmer

LT, Gore

CJ, Roy, Braylon

Gates

Akers

GB Def, Giants D

In a 12 team keeper league, we had another team go 10-3 and they have Romo, AD, Owens.

It's a hard thing to do...

First time I ever went 13-0, and it is in a redraft which is tougher than dynasty IMO.

The amazing thing is I don't have any superstuds, just a lot of very good players and quality depth. And some luck (I've seen better teams in redraft leagues this year).

Antsports, starters in bold

Romo

Bush

Portis

Kevin Jones

Lendale White

Chester Taylor

Michael Turner

Housh

Braylon Edwards

Boldin

Lee Evans

Chris Henry (CIN)

Winslow

Folk

Colts

Titans

Decent team, but if you won week 8 with Dallas on bye, you are more lucky than good...I only count 2 TD between the rest of your team that week

13-4 (double headers). It is the best I have ever done in this long standing 12 team redraft league.

Kitna, Schaub (played Huard during Kitna bye)

LJ, Kolby Smith, S Young, ADP (Chicago), Andre Hall, Norwood

R. Moss, R Williams, S. Holmes, L. Evans, Mark Clayton, A. Gonzalez,

T. Schefler (thanks Heap!!!@#@!)

GB, TB

Folk

I agree that matchup's are everything. This team is about #4 or

#5 on overall points scored. All of the other high point teams (for the year) are scrambling for a playoff shot.

A guy in my league is 11-1 so far, with his only loss coming by 1 point.

He has:

Brady, Warner

Portis, LJ, A.Hall, B.Jackson

B.Edwards, Ward, Branch

Crumpler

Crosby

Bears, Bengals

#1 in points scored

#9 in points scored against

I am 12-0 and should lose this week to the high scorer of the week. I have 2 going tommorow but it more than likely won't be enough. We are in the 5th year of our league and have never had anyone win more than 10. I am leader in points and also 108 -24 in the Power Rankings for the year. My team is solid with a couple of superstars thrown in. I am preparing myself for a loss in the first round that I compete in the playoffs, knowing that is just the way FF goes.

12 team Keeper League (Keep 4)

PPR, small use of return yardage, and IDP

1 pt per 10 rush/rec, 25 pass

1 pt per 20 return yards

1 pt per Reception

1/2 pt per completion

-3 per Int

Start:

1 QB

2 RB

3 WR

1 Flex

1 TE

1 K

2 DL/LB

2 DB

2 Flex

QB: McNabb, Kitna, Warner

RB: Westy, Portis, Grant, Norwood, Turner, F. Jackson, (rode S. Morris train for awhile)

WR: Ch. Johnson, Wayne, Mason, Marshall, Branch, (had Welker but made a trade for Kitna when he was hot)

TE: Winslow

K: Folk

LB: Witherspoon, Pierce, Rudd, Beason, Wilhelm

DB: McGee, Hobbs, Nelson

Hoping to make some noise but like always I figure to flare out in the playoffs.

My 10-3 team is killing with injuries (LJ, Roy Williams, Brandon Jacobs)

I had highest score all but 3 weeks..This was a 4 win team 4 years ago. :D

That's actually impressive, as your roster isn't THAT all-world... especially in the RB dept, sans how ADP turned out.TO/Plax worked for awhile.. but the others were hit miss...That's decent team mgmt.. congrats.

a lot of 12 team 3 division leagues have 1 week of double headers so you can play the other divisions once (8 games) and your division twice (6 games) and still have week 17 off

10-team league. 11-2. Had about 35% more points then 2nd place finisher though. .5/ppr for wr/te. I only trade I made was D. Brees for ADP during our draft when Romo was available the 7th roun.

Romo

LT, ADP

R. Moss, TO, B. Edwards

A. Gates

Had Witten on my bench all year because I really didn't really have an area to improve through trade. Brady maybe but I'd have to overpay and improve the 2nd place team more then I'd be improving.

Oooooooooooooooh. I see.Um, I'll take the Ranch Dressing for my foot, goes much easier that way.

I'm 12-0 but currently down by about 23 pts in a 12 team PPR league. My opponent is done I have Wes Welker, we get 1.5 pts /catch so I have a chance.

Sad thing is I put Calvin Johnson in instead of Galloway, otherwise I would be ahead by less then a point

My roster

QB- Derek Anderson, Kitna, Eli

RB- Reggie Bush, Portis, Ryan Grant, Chester Taylor

WR- Houshmanzada, Welker, Calvin Johnson, Joey Galloway, Deion Branch

TE Gates

K Nick Folk

D Titans, Cardinals

KUDOS to those that did!! Should have.. lost to same guy 2X by a total of 3 points. The first time he got the home field tie breaker.. and the second time 2 points. He had his best games.. because I put up serious points and every player scores.. I probably missed on one player each weekend. Here is the lineup.

Start 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR

QB: Hasselbeck, Rivers, Warner

RB: LT, McGahee, L. White, F. Taylor, Selvin Young, Adrian Peterson (bears)

WR: Housh, T. Holt, Galloway, B. Marshall, Hackett, T. Gonzalez

K: Stover, Hanson

DEF: Seahawks, Bucs

BTW.... I'm the idiot that dropped QB Anderson. I believed in his pedigree... but, thought he would get slaughtered in the NE game... and that I could get him back. NOPE....
