13 - 0 ... who pulled it off? (1 Viewer)

13-0 in a keep 5 league.

Kept:

B. Westbrook

R. Brown

T. Owens

C. Johnson

Roy Williams

Drafted J. Witten and B. Roethlisberger with 2 of my first 3 picks (along with T. Bell).

Traded Big Ben for Brees, after Week 3, and picked R. Grant, K. Smith and K. Warner off of waivers throughout the season.

QB: Brees/Warner

RB: Westbrook, Grant/K. Smith

WR: Owens, Johnson, R. Williams

TE: Witten

DEF: Patriots.

I have had the high score 5 times, and been 2nd or 3rd 5 more times, with this week pending. Closest wins by 5, 6, and 12 points, with blowouts most other weeks.

Needless to say, it has been a fun season, but losing in the playoffs would really suck...

Just finished 13 - 0 in my league, never seen an undefeated through the regular season in 8 or so years of FF. I'm curious how many Brady owners did it, or how many who had the Romo/T.O. combo did it. Decent team, but if you won week 8 with Dallas on bye, you are more lucky than good...I only count 2 TD between the rest of your team that week
Oh, make no mistake... I recognize it was a ton of luck. You couldn't do it otherwise. I said in a post earlier, I had the least points scored on me for the season, and week 8 was a very fortunate week. I won 92 - 79, with Olsen and K.J. getting 17 each to lead the way, that is the only week I was under 110. I felt all along I had a good team, but certainly not one for the ages. The lack of RB depth has been scary, especially heading into the playoffs.

Plenty of competitive leagues can have someone go undefeated if that person has a good team plus luck on their side. Get over yourself.
I've been playing in multiple leagues for 10 years and I've never seen it until this year. I consider it to be quite difficult. My brother's team, most likely 13 - 0 after NEP play tonightBradySteven Jackson, Earnest GrahamRandy Moss, Terrell Owens, Dwayne BoweChris BakerAdam VinatieriDallasThis is a one year redraft league we set up to teach another guy's kid how to play fantasy football. 12 team league.

How many teams?
10 teamer, so not very big. Typically pretty competitive though, no one has ever come close to being perfect. I'm just laying waste to teams this year...

i am shocked that a team went 13-0 with all the parity, poor RB play and unpredictably in the NFL this year. I will bump this after week 16 to see who won their FF SB. I went 12-1 two times in my main dynasty league over the years and did not win the FF SB either time. having a great regular season record is the kiss of death.

How you could go 13-0 is beyond me. I have lost games that everyone of my players have scored TDs in.

MY LEAGUE IS SO COMPETITIVE IF YOU LOSE SOMEONE CHOPS OFF ONE OF YOUR FINGERSSO THERE
So what do they do if someone loses 11 games?

Josh Brown scored a touchdown??

It is an 8 team league, all teams should be loaded. It does take some luck (outside of busts and injuries) to make it through, but it can obviously be done. If I wasn't playing the team with the 3rd-4th highest single game points scored this week (I scored a # that 95 out of 100 times you would be a winner), then I would have accomplished just that. I also am prepared to lose my first playoff game for understanding that there is a mean and at some point you must regress towards it.

I've been playing fantasy for 10 years, multiple leagues every year and not only have I never been undefeated but no team in any league I've played in has finished undefeated. If you pulled it off, congrats big time. It's doesn't happen often.

After starting out 0-2, I've gone 11-0 since. (Week 1 I lost to the high score of the week. I had the 3rd highest). Lost by 4 week 2. Auction draft. 10 teams.

Current Roster: (drafted in bold)

QB: Romo, Garcia

RB: S. Jackson, J. Lewis, K. Watson

WR: Housh, Welker, Galloway, Hackett, C. Henry, Jurevicius

TE: Witten

K: Gostkowski

D/ST: Pittsburgh

Is it safe judgment on my part to say that if you're lucky enough to go undefeated it's PROBABLY because you play in an ESPN, Yahoo!, etc. free league where two or three or even four teams are just dead teams after the first couple of weeks? Not that it should take any credibility away from the guy who does go undefeated...just a thought though.

My undefeated season was in a league where half the teams are STAFF at FBGSo, yea lots O luck

I'm 13-0 in a oddball 20 team league with IDP, KR and PPR, the points are a bit td heavy with sacks and completions counting for qb's

start 1 qb, 1rb, 1wr, 1 te, 2 wr/rb flex, 2 wr/te flex, k, 4 db, 4 dl/lb, 3 d flex:

QB: Marc Bulger, AJ Feeley

WR: Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Joshua Cribbs, Ted Ginn, James Jones

RB: Brian Westbrook, Jesse Chatman, Maurice Hicks

TE: Leonard Pope

K: Rob Bironas

DB: Kerry Rhodes, Corland Finnegan, Darrell Revis, Fernando Bryant, Reggie Nelson, Ronde Barber

DL: Demeco Ryans, Kirk Morrison, Lofa Tatapu, Keith Bulluck, Jon Beason, Ray Lewis, Angelo Crowell

Probably not the most orthodox or satisfying 13-0 team, I guess I'm the Hawaii of unbeaten FF teams.

to go 13-0 would depend more so on your matchup each week than your team. sure you have to have a good team but.....in my main $$$ league my record at present is 6-6 with the second most points and the most points against. if i had played a lower scoring team a couple of those weeks no doubt my record would have been better. then you have other members that play and beat the only team in the league they could have beat.weekly matchups matter more
yup

sitting at 12-1

Romo, Brees

ADP, Gore, FWP, Foster, Grant

TO, Braylon, Steve Smith, Engram, Hackett

Shockey

Mare

Titans, Pack

League converted to a keep 3 league last year (league has been around for 5 years)... good year has been the result of strong keepers (Gore, Romo, Brees), decent drafting, matchups, and some good trades....

My one loss was against the worst team in the league...

I agree a lot of it has to do with matchups... I still never feel confident going into the playoffs... I went into the playoffs last year at 11-3 and got ousted in the first round.... Congrats to all 13-0 teams...thats not easy no matter how you look at it.

I'm 13-0 in a 14-team (bragging rights) league with VERY thin rosters. Although my record has more to do with lucky matchups when I had down weeks. Start 13 weekly QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, WR/TE, RB/WR, PK, DEF, 3 IDP and 3 bench. With the thin benches a lot of possible starters were dropped and because I had decent depth I was able to pick up some injured guys and have them on the bench. Through, drafting, trading and early FA pickups I've got the following squad.

Tony Romo

Reggie Bush, Justin Fargas, Ryan Grant, Chester Taylor, Jesse Chatman

Brandon Marshall, Braylon Edwards, Steve Smith, Andre Johnson

Jeremy Shockey

Mason Crosby

Arizona

David Harris, Hamza Abdullah, EJ Henderson

Playoffs are scheduled for weeks 15-17, so I might be hooped if Romo rests. I'm probably going to drop Chatman for a QB who will be fighting for playoff position like Garrard or Sage Rosenfels if Shaub looks to be out for a while.

I have a feeling that I'm going to have one bad week in playoffs and the undefeated regular season will be for nothing.

Pulled off the feat to Finish @ 13-0 - Big Money League - Winner Takes all ($1,000)

I've commished 5 leagues over the last 8 years and only one other team has done it and that was the previous commish when he had the trio of Warner, Faulk & Bruce back in 99' season. Lost in first round of playoffs - praying I don't fall to that same fate.

Brady overcame a some injury issues - Loss Ronnie Brown, now have lost Roy Williams & D. Ward so perfect season is looking tougher to finish out - Need Brady to carry the day again

12 Team Keep 8 League with IDP

QB's T. Brady & M. Cassell ( dropped Losman to handcuff Brady)

RB's L. Tomlinson, M. Turner, B. Jacobs, D. Ward, A. Green - R. Brown on IR

WR's T.J. Housmanzadeh, T. Owens, R. Williams, D. Stallworth, B. Johnson

K - K. Brown & J. Hanson

Def's - W. Witherspoon. K. Bullock, R. Lewis, A. Hawk, A. Crowell

I agree. I have been playing since the late 80's..Love the old notebook leagues. And have 7-9 teams every season. This is the first time i have been undefeated and the first time it was done in ANY of the 100's of leagues i have been in. My team is very good though. Couldnt have this team in a redraft

I've never seen a single undefeated season in fifteen years. There was a 13-1 who won the Super Bowl one time though. My team is 10-3 and is on a 7 game winning streak, and I would have won one that I lost had I not taken Branch out for Brandon Marshall. This is my best season ever, and is the first year of a new Dynasty League so I am hoping for future seasons like this:

QB

E Manning, Warner, Clemens

RB

S Jax, Portis, K Jones, Graham, Ward, Hall

WR

85, Fitzy, Boldin, Marshall, J Jones, Clayton, Henry

K

Bironas

D

Titans

About to go 13-0.

12 team, keep 6 league (3 offensive/3 defensive). Start 2 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 1 K, 3 LB, 3 DL, 3 DB (and 19 player bench) - league scoring is yardage heavy and very high scoring.

Kept Romo, T.O., Shaun Alexander, London Fletcher, Leonard Little, and Sean Jones. Won Toilet Bowl last year and had first pick in draft - FWP. With these large rosters, don't have much of a bench.

Last week's starters and bench in () - only a couple of trades during year:

QB - Romo, Campbell (used Harrington Week 4 and Holcomb Week 8)(Beck,Collins,Feeley,Holcomb)

RB - ADP :goodposting: ,Taylor,FWP (Alexander,Kolby Smith, Derrick Ward, Cecil Sapp,Tyson Thompson)

WR - Housh,Edwards,T.O.,James Jones (Avant,Wade,Demetrius Williams)

TE - Winslow,Desmond Clark (Kris Wilson) - used Eric Johnson first 5 weeks

K - Kris Brown (Stover) - used Stover most of the year

LB - DiGiorgio,Fletcher, Morrison (Tatupu - should have started this week, stupid)

DL - Andre Carter,Mathis,Vanden Bosch (Mark Anderson, Pat Williams) - dropped Little early on

DB - Hood,Jones,Madieu Williams (Chris Hope, Jarrad Page) - started Hope much of the time

Mostly depended on my starters (very happy with my draft, which btw took place in July before training camps started - very lucky on the injury front) - before this week, scoring rank was QB - 5th, RB - 1st (ydg heavy so FWP lack of TDs didn't hurt as bad), WR - 1st, Def - 10th.

Interestingly enough, #1 in league scoring by a wide margin and #12 in points against. Next closest team is 9-4.

Congrats on going undefeated guys, its a hard thing to do it seems these days. I have been in a keeper for around 7 years and the best record to date is 11-3 (2 times), which is what im shooting for if I win next week. Im sitting pretty on top by 150points and 2 games since I just beat 2nd this weekend. If I get to the finals and bottle it, ill be very angry. Id post my team but it didnt go undefeated. I didnt have either Brady or Romo, if I had 1 of them perhaps it could have happened. I had Romo last season but traded him off straight up for Carson Palmer.

I'm 12-0 but currently down by about 23 pts in a 12 team PPR league. My opponent is done I have Wes Welker, we get 1.5 pts /catch so I have a chance.Sad thing is I put Calvin Johnson in instead of Galloway, otherwise I would be ahead by less then a point :( My rosterQB- Derek Anderson, Kitna, EliRB- Reggie Bush, Portis, Ryan Grant, Chester TaylorWR- Houshmanzada, Welker, Calvin Johnson, Joey Galloway, Deion BranchTE GatesK Nick FolkD Titans, Cardinals
12-1

Thanks to FBG content and a liberal dose of luck, 'my' four teams are finishing the regular season in 1st, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (points position was 1st, 2nd, 2nd and 1st, respectively).

One ending roster (11-1-1):

Brady, ADP, Fargas, R Williams, Colston, D Bowe, Gates, Gostkowski, Minn

i didn't go 13-0, but i did win my last 11 games in a row finishing 11-2 with the best record. Didnt have Moss or Brady or Romo either. Brady Owner finished 9-4. Moss/Romo owner finished 8-5, in my division so i played that guy twice.

My team is in my sig.

13-0 after the conclusion of MNF--he had 3 guys going, needed 44 points, not at all a stretch given the scoring

12 team dynasty league in its 5th or 6th year, this is my 4th with it

Palmer

Owens

A Johnson

Housh

Westbrook

Portis

Graham-wr/rb

Gates

Vinatieri

Chicago

Had Ronnie Brown until an ACL tear, and Maroney/Walker as well

There's a team in one of my dynasty leagues that has a 13-0 record but has scored fewer points than a team with a 7-6 record! Good match-ups and good decisions on who to start. He has LT but no other high-profile stars at the skill positions (his highest-scoring WR is Greg Jennings), however he has tremendous depth and having Winslow at TE, Crosby at K and the Pats D has helped him enormously.

The longest win streak in the 8 year history of our 4-Kepper league is 7, fewest losses for a league champ is 2.

This year we have 1 @ 10-3, 2 @ 9-4, 3 @ 8-5.

Pretty clear indicator we're all equally clueless.

:tumbleweed:

Went undefeated in the regular season for the first time in my 10+ year fantasy tenure... got lucky 2 or 3 weeks with matchups, where I scored in the middle of the pack and faced a lower scoring opponent, but several weeks I was the high scorer. Best part is, it's the first year of a keeper league :lmao:

I'm 12-1 in a competitive 12 team league, 3rd in points. Don't really have any of this season's real studs but have managed to play the matchups. Not bad for a team that drafted Larry Johnson, Lamont Jordan, Javon Walker and Santana Moss!

After LJ managed to go down I got lucky and turned Peyton Manning & Santana Moss into Brees and Bush and that helped considerably.
