I doubt that's true. Terrorism = political motive of some kind, trying to achieve something. If this was just some disgruntled former employee who lost his mind and wanted to take out his former coworkers/bosses without some larger goal in mind it wouldn't be a terrorist incident. It wouldn't be any less tragic, just saying that's how the term is defined.

ETA: Looks like they're confirming three suspects, which makes terrorism more likely, but still plenty of possible scenarios where it's not.

This sounds targeted to me - a party inside a rented conference room at this facility. I feel like terrorists go to public gathering spaces, this event seems too specific - like how would a group of terrorists know what conference room to go into?

Yeah. The more you hear about this, the less it sounds like a terrorist attack. If it were one guy, I'd say workplace shooting. What makes it odd is that there were 3 shooters, possibly.

Keith Nelson, the vice president of the center's board of trustees, said a group who he believed to be "county workers" unrelated to the center were hosting a Christmas party when the gunfire broke out.

A person who was inside the building also told the Los Angeles Times that the shooting may have happened during a Christmas party, but declined to be identified or comment further.

Yes, Trafficland and Caltrans have cameras in several locations around San Bernardino (I-10 and 215 for the most part).

There's more to it than that IMO. We've become less of a society and more of a collective of individuals, in part due to the sheer amount of info and entertainment available to us without having to leave the cozy confines of our homes. When I was a kid, if you wanted entertainment, you either went out and found some friends to screw around with or built Legos or something. And if some guy appeared to be a bit off, you either saw it or heard about it from your parents or friends.who saw or heard him. Now? if you are 16 or 17 you can spend all day with the kid next door and never physically see him. Less human interaction = more isolation = more time and ability for those who are unstable to do things without anyone noticing.

Don't necessarily agree with the second. I'd like to think that, but the reality is that this trail grows colder by the minute. Unless there is concrete motive or some evidence left behind, these guys COULD get away clean.

Given the surgical nature of this hit I'm assuming:

• Used gloves when loading mags to avoid prints.

• Procured vehicle in untraceable manner (ie not registered to them, or rented in their names).

• Kept masks on through encounter and while driving off (traffic cameras)

• No significant visible identifiable traits (tattoos, etc)

• No claiming/bragging of attack online

• Procured firearms in a non obvious manner

Absent stuff like that.... catching these guys isn't going to be easy.
