15th Pick (16-team Redraft)...who to take? (1 Viewer)

Yeah this is a rather large big money league...been struggling lately with what strategy I should use. I like to wait on QB's (Manning, Brady, Romo maybe even Brees) will be gone...my strategy originally was to go RB/WR ....one of the following should still be hanging (Barber/Lynch/Portis) b/c I have heard rumors Moss and Wayne will be off the board.

It is a PPR league. Then thinking WR/WR ...take Owens and Fitz. I know I could get both those guys. Getting a couple elite WRs to start me off. I could go RB/RB....get one of the forementioned backs and grab Jones-Drew on the way back. Then in the 3rd/4th round grab a couple good, but not great, WRs. My goal would be to get either Holmes, Evans, Crotchery or Calvin Johnson (2 of those 4).

What route would you go if you were me? It is not a 3-RR draft. I am targeting Garrard/Schaub as my QBs in the 6th/7th round.

This is for the AC really, but since I drafted in the same position in an identical league setup recently I'll humour you.

I went MJD at 1.15 and Jamal Lewis at 2.2. Barber, Lynch and Portis were long gone. IIRC, Moss and Brady were the only non-RB's to be taken up to that point.

Perhaps I should have gone Wayne/TO etc. at 2.2 but I just felt that despite the PPR aspect of the league there simply wouldn't be any decent RB's when it got back to me at 3.15. I was right. There are so many WR's you just don't need to reach for one so early in a league this size. I took Steve Smith and Santanio Holmes at 3.15 and 4.2. Took Cutler in the 6th. I'm reasonably happy with it but it is hard to draft so late in a league this size.

im not sure how your league feels about LJ, but if he is there at 15 then take him immediately. He is drastically undervalued. If you can swing him and TO then consider yourself in great position for the rest of the draft.
