#1WRs v #2 WR (1 Viewer)

Reading the RB threads it was mentioned this next week and season as a whole seems to be all about the WR and QBs.

Wanted opinions from those folk with extraordinary insight.

Now that a few games have been played, a better idea can be had about current and future player value.

How do guys like the Berrian, VJackson, and RCurry type as the #1 WR option on their respective teams compared to the fellas on other teams who fill the #2 WR role, like Welker, Marshall, and Curtis?

Do the #2 guys seem like more of a boom or bust type for any given game or do they have a legit shot at outproducing those #1s?

I think you have to call Curtis the WR1 in Philly. He has exactly double the targets of Brown (30 to 15) & all the TDs.

I'd gladly take guys like Curry or Curtis who I know will usually get 7+ targets in a game vs boom or bust WR2s that need to capitalize on 3-4 targets with big plays in order to be worthy.

Welker is a different animal. You know he'll get a bunch of targets & short catches, but he is not really a big play or TD threat.
