2 Round Mock--Everyone is invited (Need someone for Green Bay) (1 Viewer)

Have done this at another site and it can be fun and interesting. You can sign up for one team. Obviously, a couple of you will get more picks than others. We only need 31 since Cleveland doesn't have a pick in the first 2 rounds. Down to needing 8 more.

I will also add a little twist. We'll do this as 2 mocks in one. The first pick will be who YOU would pick if you were the GM. The second pick will be who you think the TEAM will actually take. Trades ARE allowed, but only in the draft representing the pick YOU would make. No trades allowed in the team pick draft.

Just post the team you want to sign up for and we'll get started. I'll take New Orleans.

ETA--Please PM the next person up after you post your picks. Thanks

I'm chained to my desk this week so I may as well do something enjoyable.

I'll take Pittsburgh.

i will take SD

i am here for 2.5 more hours then all day tomorrow.

Can we work out a trade in this mock? If so I sent a PM to one of the teams to discuss.

I'd rather not double up on teams, but if it really gets hard to fill, we might have to. This may take a couple days it seems, but I'm fine with that. If some of you need to drop out, that's fine.

The trade thing is a great idea, but that will ONLY be for the picks that YOU would make. For what the TEAMS will do, there's no trading. Should make it interesting.

I will take Miami
Great, as soon as you see someone take Oakland, you're on the clock. For those of you signed into this, might be helpful to subscribe to this so you can see when new picks are made.I'll send out PM's to the next person up as the picks are entered.

Who they are going to take: Jake Long

STL - tough decision between c. long & dorsey... gholston not strongly considered here... j. long definitely would have been in the discussion if he slipped past MIA...

who i think they will take - glenn dorsey (c. long distinct possibility, but i think dorsey is gathering momentum & c. long might be losing it as we approach the draft)... best defensive player in the draft, & has a chance to be the best player in the draft at any position...

this coincides with who i would take, as well...

if he can be a sapp like dominant force, that will make the rest of the STL defense better (the defense the bigger need, offense could do better just with players already on the roster returning to health, & the addition of al saunders to OC, who was the STL WR position coach during the greatest show on turf, super bowl runs)...

ATL - If Dorsey had fallen to #3 that would be the ideal fit for ATL. He could provide an immediate upgrade along the defensive front. Since in this scenario he's gone I'll have to say

Who they'll pick - Matt Ryan QB Boston College- With both J Long and Dorsey gone Atlanta is forced to slightly reach for a possible franchise quarterback. I'm in the minority that says Ryan is overated and his interceptions combined with his lack of ideal physical tools make him a late first round pick at best. That being said, the Atlanta Falcons need a young quarterback to build around and Ryan is squeaky clean.

Who They Should Pick - Sedrick Ellis DT USC - A disruptive force who was virtually unblockable through much of his college career and the Senior Bowl. Ellis could be a Tommie Harris type who can help the Falcons collapse the pocket from the inside. If the Falcons grab Ellis or Dorsey they can always grab a QB at the top of the 2nd round or trade back up into the first if they have their eyes on someone.

1.04 Oakland Raiders

I have really gone back and forth with this pick as I have been thinking about and mocking the early part of the 1st round the past weeks. I see three strong options for them here with Sed Ellis, Chris Long and McFadden. I could make a case for each of them, but I have to narrow it down for the sake of making a pick.

Who they'll pick Chris Long- he has the measurables and has been the talk of the draft since the all star games. It seems that his stock has dropped somewhat the past couple of weeks, but the connection with his dad and the team can't hurt. The Oakland defense is becoming very good.

Who They Should Pick I think Long is the smart pick. Many have McFadden going here, but I think they can get by with Fargas and Bush, and they still have Jordan, for now. Not to mention, this RB class is deep and they could pick up a RB later.
