Maroney=Speed

Footballguy
2006:

1.R.Bush

2.L.Maroney

3.J.Addai

2007:

1.All Day

2.M.Lynch

3.B.Jackson

2008:

1.D.Mcfadden

2.? J.Stewart

3.? R.Mendenhall

I would rank them this way. Of course before each player was going into NFL. Before COMBINE.

1. All Day

2. D.McFadden

3. R.Bush

4. M.Lynch

5. L.Maroney

6. J.Stewart

7. R.Mendenhall

8. J.Addai

9. B.Jackson

Again BEFORE combine. Before Draft.

I was High on All Day and Bush. But McFadden, I have over Bush and everyone but All Day.

Of course if He's combine numbers are not good He drops too many as far as 5th.

So what say you?

R.Bush 6'0" 200D.McFadden 6'2" right now 205.So why was eveyone so high on Bush? A slim rb who was not a every down back?D.Mcfadden IS THE REAL DEAL!Sorry note: Above is my rankings.I had All Day higher than Bush, and now I have McFadden higher than Bush.

 And this coming from Mr. Peterson himself...

 Based on expectations bush would have to be #1...There were ppl who literally traded away LT in dynasty leagues for him.

I'm talking none ppr leagues as well...I don't know if you were on these boards or not and if you were I doubt you took many trips to the asst. coach forum but as Mr. Peterson said the hype around bush was unreal and I doubt we'll ever see that much hype again. To answer your question about why I will say that bush was prolly the most electrifying rb to come out in a long time and he was a home run threat. Yeah AD has great speed also but he has/had the injury concern that bush did not have

I think you are forgetting how hyped reggie bush was. Two years into his NFL career he hasn't done what was expected of him but there is no way anyone would have put mcfadden or ad ahead of him if they were all coming out together. Nobody cared that bush wasn't an everydown back when he was coming into the league. People were OBSESSED with the guy

fixed  Bush was #1, ahead of Peterson. Remember, AD wasn't even considered for the #1 pick, people were shocked when Houston passed on Bush for the dominant DE of the future.

Guys.

My rankings. I'm going on record now to say McFadden is the real deal.

Bush was over hype by just about everyone.

All Day is great, we all know that.

But some are questioning McFadden, I am not.

He will be besides All Day and S.Jasckson the best RB to come out in years.

Again none PPR. I'm going on record Today.

Want to hear, why you don't feel McFadden will be a very good back?

Why He's not going to be worth a 1.1 rook pick?

Lets hear what everyone thinks as far as McFadden goes?

Sorry. Bush was the best ever to come out of college.I'm saying McFadden will be better. Now can we continue? What makes McFadden better, his vision, size, speed and a every down back.Clear now?

I didn't see him play this year except the bowl game, but in the bowl game I was NOT impressed. He didn't seem to run with any power at all or break many tackles.

My thing with McFadden is I think he will be what Bush should be. I think McFadden will be excellent in space, but will likely have some struggles with inside running.

I would rank (coming out of college):

Peterson (I was high on Reggie but as high as many on this board, where as I was pretty sure Peterson was the total goods)

Bush

McFadden

Lynch

Addai

Stewart

Maroney (I saw some holes in his game back to his Minnesota days)

They were just different styles, but this is pretty close IMHO. Peterson was a guy you could almost be assured of a top 10 finish at some point in his career, regardless of situation. McFadden seems like a guy you can be assured of a top 20 finish at some point, but a top 5-10 is very plausible. Bush was a guy that seemed like a lock to be good, but it looked like he had the ability to revolutionize the game in a way that neither Peterson did nor McFadden does. The guy AVERAGED almost 9 yards per carry at USC in 2005 for God's sake. Even with only 200 carries and sharing the load thats still pretty good. His play at USC was world's above where anyone else had been before. McFadden may end up closer to what Bush should have been, but he won't match that potential.

Good Job. :lmao: ;)

Yep. Like? Don't like? What's yours? Again going into the Combine.

In 2006 Addai was not in the top 3. The tiers were like this:

Bush

Maroney

DeAngelo Williams

Addai

Fatdale

I don't remember seeing many leagues that had Addai drafted in the top 3. It was DeAngelo all the way.
