2006 NFL DRAFT (1 Viewer)

horrible pick, should've taken winston, watson, or simpson
Just just... I don't know. I hate picking on GMs and I respect Bill, but... dambit, this is not addressing needs or value, imo... and it's the second time...
carpenter addressed the olb need. that was a good pick. fasano is a product of charlie weiss. all the notre dame players are going to be busts
This was a terrible pick when the Cowboys sorely need OL. :X
You dont draft 2nd round players to fill "need" on an OL.Fasano compares very favorably to Chris Cooley, and will add a new dimension to their offense as an H-back.

Parcells wants to go to a 2TE set for 1st and 2nd down.Seriously.

In the phone cal to Fasano telling him he was picked, Parcells told Fasano -"We didn't draft you to watch"

Ok, I guess they plan on using him as a blocker. That's fine.

Glad to see Tim Jennings go. He was the other guy I mentioned along wtih Trueblood that I thought might creep up towards round 1.

Jennings is a bit short, but a very solid player.

please tell me more about him... i was hoping for Jon Alston, Abdul Hodge or Youboty

The Texans are looking at some nice players with the first two picks in the 3rd.

Winston, Youboty, Gabe Watson, Pope.

Do the Steelers go Bing or Simpson here? Either one is a decent pick for number 64. I'd prefer Bing, but wouldn't cry over Simpson.

Third round is still packed with probably starters. The unexpected picks have made a deep draft feel even deeper to me. Some think a WR run would start in the 3rd. Others are very excited to see how they fall on the 2nd day. I'm not sure if it starts this coming round or not, but it's still exciting to me!

He has pretty much all the things you look for in a CB...good hands, great speed, great coverage ability, big hitter. Plays with alot of passion.Just 5'7 and change. He'll have a hard time matching up with bigger guys outside. He'll probably play nickel most of his career, but a great nickel CB is definitely worth a late 2nd.

Don't be surprise by an LB OLB/DE conversion here. Mark Anderson is due and he fits Cowher nicely.

I can't see them passing on either of those S's at this point. It's a need and they are very close to BPA.

Wouldn't be a bad move, but I'm pretty sure we go DB here.

:goodposting: He'd be a nice pick. I still want Simpson though.

Pitt traded away...
 Wonder if Tapp being selected before them had anything to do with it. Or do they feel that the player(s) they're targeting will drop to them?

Wish they'd hurry up. I need to get some sleep.

Hands, Speed and big hitter sound like great fits for the Cover-2.. thanks

That was the first real shocker of the day. I thought it would Croyle.
I'm stunned, and again happy for someone I pimped pretty hard. Tarvaris has all the tools, but... I dunno. He seemed like a second day three year NFLE project to me. I have a hunch Minnesota could have waited here.
