2006 NFL DRAFT (1 Viewer)

Spencer is a very ODD pick for the Texans.

A 350 lb G in Kubiak's offense? Is this a sign they arent going to a zone system?
Spencer was the 3rd fastest guard at the combine. He's an impressive all around athlete. In my OL rankings I liked him better than Joseph and Lutui who are already gone. This kid has chops.

he's a former DE or DT and hasn't been playing OG long

Okay, before I get too full of myself, I suggested long ago that Houston should use these two for the OL. Spencer and Winston-- just awesome for them.

Him being fast doesnt qualify him to work in that type of system. Agility, and most importantly, endurance, are alot more important.I liked him better for most systems than Lutui, but not for a Denver system.

Tony Sheffler?
I think this guy is awesome. didn't expect him to go this early, but he should compete for a starting job there soon.
:yucky: i was hoping for Bing, Simpson, Tapp, Wroten, Wright, or someone on the D side of things....

what do u know about him
TE who can stretch the field. Not much of a blocker. With Walker and Scheffler, Broncos definitely upgraded their weapons in the passing game.

Speaking of OGs, what's up with Max Jean-Gilles falling?

Still available:

Youboty, Gabe Watson, Pope, Mark Anderson, Daryl Tapp, Orien Harris, Rod Wright, Kyle Williams, Simpson, Bing, Jean-Gilles, Jon Scott, Brian Calhoun.
Seattle took Tapp.

Hmmmm maybe the Pats will draft Leonard Pope....they draft a TE every year...

I know it might not be a pressing need, but he is value this low where some thought he might go first round...

Strengths:

Has outstanding size and a large frame with long arms...Is very athletic...Excellent receiver with great hands...Can stretch a defense vertically...Can run after the catch a little...Tremendous leaper with great ball skills...Has good body control and will make the difficult catch...Knows how to use his size and has a knack for getting open...Gets off the line well and runs good routes...Has a lot of upside.

Weaknesses:

Can do a better job as a blocker but has the tools to improve in that area...Has good speed but it is not in the elite category...Needs some technique work...Can be more physical and show more of a mean streak, especially as a blocker...Got into some trouble as a youngster but by all accounts he turned himself around.

Notes:

Has a career average of 18.1 yards per catch...A rare physical specimen who is a terror to match up against and can be a major force in the passing game...Just the type of dynamic weapon the pros are looking for in the position these days.

He's a very hard worker. I'm not worried about him in this system. He can play RT too. There will be an interesting competition for spots on that OL.eta - he did great in the agility tests too...

 AZ got him. No idea who Philly got.
Maybe I should stay quiet and let players fall to the Patriots!!! lolgreat pickup by Arizona...
Philly took a pass rusher from a very small school. Chris Gocong. Bloom likes him a lot. I never saw him play and have no idea other than he had a lot of fans. Led small schools in sacks, iirc. Projects to rush LB.

I know who I want the Pats to draft next...and he is till there....afraid to post it though since the last two I did got drafted next... *crossed fingers*

Im surprised Jean-Gilles is still around.

Fat tub that he is, hes still one of the best blockers in this draft, as long as you dont expect him to pull.
