2006 NFL DRAFT (2 Viewers)

Of course, I can't have an opinion that disagrees with yours.  If I do, Im obviously a hater, because there is no way you are wrong, right?

Of course you are right about White...hes AWESOME.  Thats why he was available at #45
What are the characture issues you dislike so much? Can you even define them? Irregardless, his talent has clearly made him the BPA for a long while. If other issues keep him from realizing his potential then so be it. The ability is as clear as day though.
I think the question is, can you define "irregardless"?
The semantics police is in da house! ;)

Always are.

Pack take Jennnigs WR
His athleticism will combine with his football intelligence and instincts to let him contribute sooner than nearly all the other receivers available this year. In the end, he will become a very good starting receiver that will make big plays in the NFL.I like it. :boxing:

horrible pick, should've taken winston, watson, or simpson
Just just... I don't know. I hate picking on GMs and I respect Bill, but... dambit, this is not addressing needs or value, imo... and it's the second time...

carpenter addressed the olb need. that was a good pick. fasano is a product of charlie weiss. all the notre dame players are going to be busts

Carpenter was expected, I said as much when they were on the clock. Lawson has so much more potential though. We'll see. I did not think OLB was that big a deal this early. They have Ware, they have Ayodele inside or out... meh. Disappointed here.

Ryan Cook?

Was that someone from the stands?
NO! This kid is a player. He has awesome technique and NFL quality hands already. He's a huge center who dominates. He's so tall, they checked him out at Tackle, and he held up very nicely against Wimbley and Lawson, very nicely. I thought he had a lot of value. This is surprising, but this kid is instant depth, very strong run blocking, plays anywhere on the line, and he's stroooong.
He's the 2nd (maybe even 1st) best center in the draft. He can play guard for the next year or two and learn the center position from Birk. It's not a sexy pick and I didn't like it at first, but now I love it as I was hoping they'd take Jean-Gilles with the pick, but this gives them more flexibility on the line.

I think the Griffin pick is lousy.
Aren't yall running a Cover-2 Defense? A draft magazine I have says he's the best zone corner in the draft.

Ouch - NO owner is saying "Thunder & Lightning" meaning that Duece gets the TDs and Bush gets the yards.

Heard it on Sirius.

Still a few picks left, Jaad

Jennings will take his eyes off the ball at times and start upfield before tucking the ball away, which leads to him dropping some easy passes. He has a very good burst in routes and after the catch, but lacks the elite explosiveness and top-end speedI don't :boxing:

Wow... Pollard and Cook. Two guys I pimped and should have pimped more. Pollard is a complete package at SS. Seems like a bit of a reach, but he's young and underrated... well, was underrated.

Young you say? In the college draft? kidding :)

'nother quick .02 on the day:

As a Colt fan, GDB Titans getting Young AND White. Yes they have concerns, but potentially this is a very very scary duo.

As in coming out early! ;)

Huge hitter. Simpson and Bing are officially plummeting.

Simpson surprises me, Bing doesnt.Bing is a slower, less athletic Thomas Davis.

Davis has the athleticism to make up for his lack of speed. Bing is a player without a position.

Sounds a little like Boldin. Except for taking his eyes off the ball.

Here's hoping.

Bing was a 200 meter champ in HS. He is extremely athletic. More than Simpson. He played SS against the run then switched to FS on passing downs. Better deep game than Simpson, bigger hitter, more athletic, not as instinctual against the run, takes bad angles. Star RB in HS too. Very very athletic. Awesome BBall player. Dunk contest winner. Has some long jump record, iirc.

I like that pick for the Giants. I don't believe in Moss as a #1 WR, but he fits in nicely as a slot guy and as a complement to Burress.
Not usually a big fan of going WR early, but that is 1rd talent in the 2nd round. Not only is he a complement to Burress, he is in there with a bunch of trees:Plax 6'5

Shockey 6'5

Toomer 6'3

Then you have Tiki to worry about. Moss and open field is what you want, and as long as Eli can work on a touch pass (not his strength for sure) that is gold.

 All that and still available. Can't be.
