2006 RB Rookie Draft: Rank 'em (1 Viewer)

Found an interesting 3RD mock over at draftdaddy.com

If the RBs went like this....

Rank 'em from 1-7

1.01 HOU - Reggie Bush

1.15 DEN - LenDale White

1.17 MIN - Laurence Maroney

1.28 JAX - DeAngelo Williams

2.26 CAR - Joseph Addai

2.32 PIT - Brian Calhoun

3.30 IND - Maurice Drew

Now I'm not saying these represent MY draft projections (Heaven forbid the Stillers draft Calhoun). But as this is as good a list as anything else I've seen,

How would you rank the RBs?

Here's mine:

RANKINGS:

1. Reggie Bush - It's a no brainer. Talent over situation everytime.

2. LenDale White - Friggin scary to think of him in the DEN running game.

3. DeAngelo Williams - I've watched enough C-USA games to say I'm sold.

4. Maurice Drew - I've played enough college dynasty FF to say I'm sold.

5. Joseph Addai - He could end up starting the last half of the year as a rookie given Foster's lack of durability.

6. Laurence Maroney - If the guy could catch anything other than a cold, he might move up this list.

7. Brian Calhoun - I would actually take a second-day selection of Jerious Norwood before I selected Calhoun. Definitely NOT sold....

They would most likely go in the same order they were drafted except for Maroney, he would most likely slide a spot or two.

I see only a 5% chance Min takes a RB in round 1.

Dynasty?

Bush

Williams

Maroney

White

Addai

Drew

Calhoun

I'm cooling on White a little bit. Need to see/hear about his Pro Day on the 2nd.

i think its more realistic they go:

bush - houston

williams - NE

white - denver

maroney - jets

addai - carolina

calhoun - indy

its a tough call. whoever lands in indy is the x-factor. rhodes should be easy to beat out.

i was just thinking about this.

1 - 1.15 DEN - LenDale White

2 - 1.01 HOU - Reggie Bush

3 - 1.28 JAX - DeAngelo Williams

4 - 3.30 IND - Maurice Drew

5 - 1.17 MIN - Laurence Maroney

6 - 2.32 PIT - Brian Calhoun

7 - 2.26 CAR - Joseph Addai

1.01 HOU - Reggie Bush

- There really is no way that I'd drop him from #1

1.28 JAX - DeAngelo Williams

- Del Rio likes to run, DeAngelo is the 2nd best back in the class, but WTF did he drop to #4?

1.15 DEN - LenDale White

- Can understand him as #2, but if Bell is there, it's RBBC

3.30 IND - Maurice Drew

- Assuming they don't bring in another RB, I actually like Drew and Indy is a great situation

1.17 MIN - Laurence Maroney

- eh, not a fan, and local players are often overhyped, but Minnesota should run fairly well with their OL

2.26 CAR - Joseph Addai

2.32 PIT - Brian Calhoun

Not much to say on Addai/Calhoun, decent enough talent, but could wind up like Ladell Betts. I really don't see Calhoun in PIT, but if he was, he's behind Parker.

If LenDale White goes to Denver, make no mistake, Tatum Bell is finished.

I don't know why you picked the guys to go to the spots they did in the original post. 90% of mocks out there right now have Maroney to Indy and Williams to NE...

Very very very few legitimate projections have Maroney in Minn or Deangelo in Jax so it's a bit bewildering why you would choose to base this post on that.

The much more relevant question would be Bush to Houston, Maroney to Indy, Williams to NE, and White to Den (though White to Den is still a bit of a longshot).

Quite possibly, if someone else wants him. The rumor of Bell/Javon Walker is interesting. Another wrinkle, say Priest retires and KC uses their 3rd rounder on a good RB.

Obviously he wouldn't start, but would anyone pick him ahead of Addai / Calhoun?

Late 1st in a rookie draft or 2nd?

ditto

1 - 1.01 HOU - Reggie Bush - too much talent and I don't see DD there very long

2 - 1.15 DEN - LenDale White - seems like a perfect fit

3 - 1.28 JAX - DeAngelo Williams - would share time this year, but great long-term

4 - 2.26 CAR - Joseph Addai - great team for him and Foster won't hold up

5 - 1.17 MIN - Laurence Maroney - solid team to go to but it'll be a year before he's the full-time RB

6 - 3.30 IND - Maurice Drew - good fit and has the skills for Indy's offense

7 - 2.32 PIT - Brian Calhoun - FWP2? Don't buy this one and would be a horrible fit

2. Bush

3. Williams

4. Maroney

5. Drew

6. Addai

7. Calhoun

I've decided that White will be the #1 RB on my board if he lands in Denver, Pittsburgh, or New England. Otherwise I'm going with Bush at #1.

It's tough to say where these guys will go. I've seen Addai projected as high as the late first, but I'm guessing that a few of these guys will slide now that some teams (ARI, MIN) have resolved their RB situations.

My question is: When will the fantasy world begin to "turn on" Reggie Bush? By no means do I think his stock will fall far, but if we end up with LenDale in Denver, Maroney in Indy, and Dom Davis remains in Houston, will we see Reggie Bush coming down to the 1.02 or even 1.03 in some dynasty rookie drafts??? I bet we might.
