Ugh. When i filled out my team just 2 days ago...guys like Steve Slaton, Favre, Randle El...etc were not available on the list I chose from. Now i see guys posting teams with those players. What gives. I really would like another crack at submitting a final lineup if they added players at the last second.

They didnt' add anyone. Favre was never on it and still isn't. Slaton and Randle El were there.

I don't think they have ever enforced the rule as long as the system allows a resubmit. The only DQ's have come from people who have manipulated the system to allow their team over the cap (several years ago).At least nobody can complain about submitting right at the deadline and just missing, then begging for mercy, they had somewhere near 5 extra hours from the looks of things.

I submitted mine on time, but if someone else submitted theirs at 1AM just how the heck would you even know?Even if your hypothetical were to play itself out good luck with that, whether you would be successful or not that's exactly the type of incident that could kill the contest.

There is absolutely no obligation for FBGs to even have this contest in the first place. Yet you're willing to sue them over it.

I understand the Warner love, but not the Warner/Ryan backups. Too risky for me. I know that WAS hasn't looked great in pre-season, but I still think Campbell will be pretty good this year and I'm happy not to see him on many teams.

Rice should break out this year and I love Patten and Randle-El as solid PPR guys who are mostly forgotten about here. Breaston should fill the Johnson role in ARI and I could see him doing better than Johnson there. Had Austin there until he got hurt. 7 WRs, 7 different Bye Weeks.

TE - Marcedes Lewis - 8

Risky TEs with Miller and Lewis, but I like Miller a lot this season. Considered Keller as a good value backup, but I wanted someone more seasoned so I went with Lewis.

PK - Kris Brown - 2

PK - Rian Lindell - 1

Really like Brown this season. Lindell plays in some bad weather, but he's a good play for a $1 kicker.

TD - Arizona Cardinals - 3

I think both of these defenses are underrated this season.

Overall, pretty happy with my team. Need my TEs to step up to get in the money.

Went with 3 D's last year and it worked well for me with normally getting 1 big scorer a week. Originally had Portis/Burleson instead of Westbrook but figured if I were to actually make it to week 10 I would be in trouble with Romo/Portis both out. Would have liked to carry Leon Washington but didn't have enough room with value like Ricky, Ray, and Slaton.

I went with trying to keep all my bye weeks balanced and towards the beginning, when it was easier to make the cut. So I ended up with 4 players with week 4, 4 with week 5, 3 with week 6, 4 with week 7, 5 with week 8, 1 with week 9, and 1 with week 10.

I'm the type that can really be a pain in the butt when people break the rules...It is not a big deal. My team is terrible anyway. But I hope the rules are enforced. For everyone's sake....

Here's my team.My biggest fear with this is that somehow my team won't be unique, especially since I usually end up going with more popular players/obvious overlays.Anyhow, here goes:QB - Tony Romo 23 (I had him ranked ahead of Brees as a surer thing and frankly the price is right for what you get).QB - Kurt Warner 5 (This year's David Garrard - guy who's mandatory really at the price)QB - Matt Ryan 4 (I considered going with just 2 QBs but Ryan is acceptable enough to take a chance on at this price)Total QBs: 3 for 32

I'm in the minority on Warner, as I think he is a bit of a red herring at $5. Clearly he will outproduce that price, I don't disagree with that, and I think anywhere from $28-$32 is appropriate to allocate to QB's. The problem I see with Warner is that when you pair him with a stud like Romo or Brees as you (and many others) have done, the uncertainty about his status come week 9 or 10 almost compels you (and many others) to add Ryan or something similar - wasting an important roster spot and at least a few extra bucks. I mentioned when discussing my own team that every time I added Warner, despite the enormous value he presents, I was unhappy with my overall roster. Just because he's a "steal" at $5 doesn't mean you have to take him, but I think many people couldn't resist taking him, to the detriment of their team. Especially the ones who have a Brees/Cutler combo or something similar, I don't see the value in adding Warner as a 3rd QB. Just because he's cheap doesn't mean you need him.

RB - Ladainian Tomlinson 60 (One of these years, he might burn me, but frankly I've gone deep into this contest twice with LT2 - this format is extra beneficial to him. I couldn't imagine not having him again).RB - Maurice Jones-Drew 34 (I messed around a lot at this spot, alternately taking Portis or Bush or Grant at different times. No complaints. I can't think of a single reason anyone should NOT have Slaton on their roster for $1, that's about as mandatory a pick as it gets. Rice and Williams are close to must-haves as well. Getting these three for a total of $13 and teaming them up with two studs is the way to go. In the end I added a 6th RB (Fred Jackson) for a little extra insurance but I don't think it's absolutely necessary, especially if your bye weeks are ok.

WR - Larry Fitzgerald 35 (It's tough for me not to take Hou$h in this contest as he has been great for me, but the superstuds like Fitzgerald and TO only cost 1 or 2 more so I had to forgo my main man. I'm a bit sad to realize that I have no WhoDeys at all on my team Anyhow back to Larry Fitz. Originally this was going to be TO but I decided to diversify lest one bad Cowboy week blow my team up. Went with one anchor WR last year and it seemed to work out.WR - Santana Moss 14 (Not a huge fan, but he's still the WR1 there and at the price should be worth it).WR - Bernard Berrian 13 (Like Moss, not a huge fan but he'll be the first WR option there and that should count for something in most weeks).WR - Kevin Walter 6 (Solid guy but not spectacular, but there's a lot of that in this neighborhood)>WR - Steve Smith 5 (Obviously the one from the Giants. I agree that Santana Moss was a nice bargain at $14. I'd be a little concerned that three of these guys have to start each week, especially on byes like weeks 7 and 10. I freed up money to add more "top-tier" WR's by downgrading from Tomlinson to Westy and losing Matt Ryan (see what I mean about Warner? Romo+Warner = $28, but then you need to spend $4+ on a 3rd QB. For $28-$29 you could have some combo of McNabb/Cutler/Garrard/Eli/etc. and not need a #3 QB, IMO).

TE - Todd Heap 15 (Um, I shoulda learned my lesson with this guy last year, but I guess I didn't. He'll probably be the one player that differentiates me from the crowd. I can only hold my breath and hope in a good way. If he stays healthy and does what he's capable of, though, he'll prove a bargain at this price).TE - Dustin Keller 2 (I really think he's an obvious choice. Favre will make him more productive than the typical rookie TE. A solid value here).Total TEs: 2 for 17

Love Keller at that price. I was a Heap owner in a keeper league for several years before I finally let him go this season. He's got the talent, for sure, but he just can't stay on the field and I couldn't take that risk. For about $15 I teamed Crumpler and Fasano with Keller - I was more comfortable with those two additional options than getting one of the TE's available in the $15 range.

PK - Phil Dawson 3 (I think this was another case of matching up against the byes as that kept me away from Bironas as well as Crosby - I changed kickers so much I'm a little hazy on what exactly happened to be honest).PK - Matt Prater 1 (Mandatory. The kid's got a cannon leg.)Total PKs: 2 for 4

I do somewhat regret not getting 3 defenses, but in this contest you have to roll the dice somewhere. I do think if you go the 3-defense route, you can get away with 3 cheaper defenses, not sure San Diego was necessary for $8 with these other two.

I submitted mine on time, but if someone else submitted theirs at 1AM just how the heck would you even know?Even if your hypothetical were to play itself out good luck with that, whether you would be successful or not that's exactly the type of incident that could kill the contest.

There is absolutely no obligation for FBGs to even have this contest in the first place. Yet you're willing to sue them over it.

I think the easy solution is for them to just refund his subscription and be done with him. Problem solved. People like him are the reason that we now have over a million lawyers and have the term "lawyer up".

Pleased with my team I suppose.

Last year my cheap-o 3 kicker and 3 defense system worked out great. Scored no less than 10pts for all 12 weeks I was still in with my kickers...and for defense only twice below 10pts. Scaled back to two defenses this year, but paid the extra buck to get two $2 teams (didn't like the $1 teams).

Wondering how many people went Keller/Baker/+ a 3rd player at tight end. I think Favre could really provide some bonus TDs there on the cheap.

I'm sure my RBs/WRs are similar to others. I kept tweaking until I got what I thought was the best value after locking in my Romo/Owens combo. Debated Brees/Colston combo, but thought I'd get more value out of Patten/Meachem on the cheap as Brees can spread the wealth around.

went with a little different strategy....took 4 QB's...two of which have the last bye week....figured having 3-4 options the first 9 weeks at QB is a good way to go....probably have to have a big week out of your QB to advance here.....by week 9 many players will have been eliminated and luck/health is a huge factor from there on out.....bye weeks are fairly spread out and I really like Lynch and Barber's schedule this year (both play NFC west teams) in addition to some other juicy matchups....think that will either make or break this team.....no two WR have same bye week....although some will have dud games combined with occasional big games, so just a gamble that the big games hit at the right time....should have maybe added a WR instead of the 4th QB, but as most have said you have to gamble to win, so my gamble is that my WR's hit paydirt when I need them and the 4th QB covers my #### when needed and when others may get a down week from their group....not a ton of experience or thought put into this, but it really seems that most teams are a stud QB injury or bad week away from elimination....hoping 4 QB's eliminates that risk.....

Here's my team.

My biggest fear with this is that somehow my team won't be unique, especially since I usually end up going with more popular players/obvious overlays.

Anyhow, here goes:

QB - Tony Romo 23 (I had him ranked ahead of Brees as a surer thing and frankly the price is right for what you get).

QB - Kurt Warner 5 (This year's David Garrard - guy who's mandatory really at the price)

QB - Matt Ryan 4 (I considered going with just 2 QBs but Ryan is acceptable enough to take a chance on at this price)

Total QBs: 3 for 32

I'm in the minority on Warner, as I think he is a bit of a red herring at $5. Clearly he will outproduce that price, I don't disagree with that, and I think anywhere from $28-$32 is appropriate to allocate to QB's. The problem I see with Warner is that when you pair him with a stud like Romo or Brees as you (and many others) have done, the uncertainty about his status come week 9 or 10 almost compels you (and many others) to add Ryan or something similar - wasting an important roster spot and at least a few extra bucks. I mentioned when discussing my own team that every time I added Warner, despite the enormous value he presents, I was unhappy with my overall roster. Just because he's a "steal" at $5 doesn't mean you have to take him, but I think many people couldn't resist taking him, to the detriment of their team. Especially the ones who have a Brees/Cutler combo or something similar, I don't see the value in adding Warner as a 3rd QB. Just because he's cheap doesn't mean you need him.

Completely agree here. I had Romo or Brees paired with just Warner for a few days and it kept looking worse and worse because of those bye weeks.

I did it last year and I thought it helped me earn a few extra each week. I don't think I missed out on another $1 player this year that I felt provided more chance to score for me than a kicker (maybe a defense, but those $1 defenses are really a crapshoot this year). Besides Slaton, I didn't see another RB/WR worth $1.Looking back at last year, each kicker factored into my lineup 4 times, never scoring below 10pts (I was eliminated in week 12):Longwell $1 - Put up 15pts when the other two combined for 1pt. Also factored into other weeks with 14/11/13pts when my other kickers were below 8pts.Bironas $1 - Put up that monster 32pt week when my other two combined for 2pts. He also bumped me 7pts (basically a TD) in another week.Kasay $1 - While he factored in four times, never for more than a 5pt gain, but that could be the difference in making the cut line once.What do you think?

Before the contest has even started you pull out the sue card and you ask why you are the bad guy? I have some choice words for that but I will refrain. My point is with your attitude I wouldn’t worry about getting second because I have a feeling FBG would just revoke your subscription and eliminate you from the contest. You will have no legal ground after that happens unless you can tell me where they are obligated to grant you a subscription if they give you a refund. As I said earlier good luck with that because you would lose before you even began.

The Romo or Brees/Warner/Ryan combo has been discussed thoroughly. I went with Romo as I like Ryan and Warner's opponents in week 10, plus I don't have any other player that has a bye week 10.

I liked the value that MJD and Parker provided. Haven't seen both on the same roster so far. Mendenhall is a concern, but for $23 I'll take the "starter" for now. The other 4 are high risk/high reward type players, but all at nice values. Even if none of the four are the primary option on their team for a given week, I believe one out of 4 will come through every week for me.

I'm obviously counting on WR depth to carry me through (and hopefully week 1 I won't be one of the 65 entries booted as I have both Steve Smith and Marshall out). I added Gaffney after Chad Jackson was cut, I think Steve Smith (Giants) will catch a LOT of balls this season, and Taylor represents a nice value...when Oba-whatever got hurt that sealed his roster spot for me. I'm willing to bet every week I'll have 4 WR count towards my overall roster.

You guys are going to kill my TEs, but you have to take risks somewhere. I had the stud-TE last year in Gates and made it to week 11 or so; this year I'm taking the opposite strategy. For defense I decided to try the whole Def/ST by committee article to heart and apply it here.

I think the easy solution is for them to just refund his subscription and be done with him. Problem solved. People like him are the reason that we now have over a million lawyers and have the term "lawyer up".

That is nice, they still have no obligation towards you and can cut your subscription per their discretion. Also it really depends on what type you are for that to be relevant.

I'm the type that can really be a pain in the butt when people break the rules...It is not a big deal. My team is terrible anyway. But I hope the rules are enforced. For everyone's sake....

I'm pretty sure I read something in the rules that said they reserved the right to modify the rules at any time. If so your whole crusade might be a little out of luck.

Seeing lots of good teams in here this year. It also appears that many have "seen the light" with regards to the deep WR corps idea. I'm somewhat kicking myself for going with 3QB's this go around, but I felt very vulnerable with Romo's late bye and felt like I wanted 2 potential scores for that week. Maybe Warner won't be the starter by then, but he was a pretty cheap add. Probably could have had better impact with a $5 receiver though, even though I think I took all the guys at/below that price that I felt good about.

Here's my team.My biggest fear with this is that somehow my team won't be unique, especially since I usually end up going with more popular players/obvious overlays.Anyhow, here goes:QB - Tony Romo 23 (I had him ranked ahead of Brees as a surer thing and frankly the price is right for what you get).QB - Kurt Warner 5 (This year's David Garrard - guy who's mandatory really at the price)QB - Matt Ryan 4 (I considered going with just 2 QBs but Ryan is acceptable enough to take a chance on at this price)Total QBs: 3 for 32

I'm in the minority on Warner, as I think he is a bit of a red herring at $5. Clearly he will outproduce that price, I don't disagree with that, and I think anywhere from $28-$32 is appropriate to allocate to QB's. The problem I see with Warner is that when you pair him with a stud like Romo or Brees as you (and many others) have done, the uncertainty about his status come week 9 or 10 almost compels you (and many others) to add Ryan or something similar - wasting an important roster spot and at least a few extra bucks. I mentioned when discussing my own team that every time I added Warner, despite the enormous value he presents, I was unhappy with my overall roster. Just because he's a "steal" at $5 doesn't mean you have to take him, but I think many people couldn't resist taking him, to the detriment of their team. Especially the ones who have a Brees/Cutler combo or something similar, I don't see the value in adding Warner as a 3rd QB. Just because he's cheap doesn't mean you need him.

RB - Ladainian Tomlinson 60 (One of these years, he might burn me, but frankly I've gone deep into this contest twice with LT2 - this format is extra beneficial to him. I couldn't imagine not having him again).RB - Maurice Jones-Drew 34 (I messed around a lot at this spot, alternately taking Portis or Bush or Grant at different times. MJD wins out as much for having a favorable bye week compared to the others. Portis would make me too heavy in bye-week 10 playersRB - Ricky Williams 8 (Like Warner, this is an obvious overlay for the price. He could produce like a back at 3 times the cost and figures to be at least worth the 8 even when Brown is fully back in the mix. A must have.)RB - Ray Rice 4 (I'm not quite as hyped on this pick, but he does have easily the most upside of the RBs in this neighborhood. I'll consider anything I get from him as gravy though, really.)RB - Steve Slaton 1 (Too highly ranked at this price not to get him. Productive 1 dollar guys are huge in this format. Another must have).Total RBs: 5 for 107

No complaints. I can't think of a single reason anyone should NOT have Slaton on their roster for $1, that's about as mandatory a pick as it gets. Rice and Williams are close to must-haves as well. Getting these three for a total of $13 and teaming them up with two studs is the way to go. In the end I added a 6th RB (Fred Jackson) for a little extra insurance but I don't think it's absolutely necessary, especially if your bye weeks are ok.

WR - Larry Fitzgerald 35 (It's tough for me not to take Hou$h in this contest as he has been great for me, but the superstuds like Fitzgerald and TO only cost 1 or 2 more so I had to forgo my main man. I'm a bit sad to realize that I have no WhoDeys at all on my team Anyhow back to Larry Fitz. Originally this was going to be TO but I decided to diversify lest one bad Cowboy week blow my team up. Went with one anchor WR last year and it seemed to work out.WR - Santana Moss 14 (Not a huge fan, but he's still the WR1 there and at the price should be worth it).WR - Bernard Berrian 13 (Like Moss, not a huge fan but he'll be the first WR option there and that should count for something in most weeks).WR - Kevin Walter 6 (Solid guy but not spectacular, but there's a lot of that in this neighborhood)>WR - Steve Smith 5 (Obviously the one from the Giants. This guy could be the main beneficiary of the departure of Shockey and Amani's not getting any younger.)WR - Derek Hagan 4 (I don't really know much from the Miami WR situation and I'll admit I kinda punted to the points projections by grabbing him here.) WR - Steve Breaston 1 (The only plausible guy at cost 1 out there it seems, though I don't like having two WR from the same team).Total WRs: 7 for 78

I agree that Santana Moss was a nice bargain at $14. I'd be a little concerned that three of these guys have to start each week, especially on byes like weeks 7 and 10. I freed up money to add more "top-tier" WR's by downgrading from Tomlinson to Westy and losing Matt Ryan (see what I mean about Warner? Romo+Warner = $28, but then you need to spend $4+ on a 3rd QB. For $28-$29 you could have some combo of McNabb/Cutler/Garrard/Eli/etc. and not need a #3 QB, IMO).

TE - Todd Heap 15 (Um, I shoulda learned my lesson with this guy last year, but I guess I didn't. He'll probably be the one player that differentiates me from the crowd. I can only hold my breath and hope in a good way. If he stays healthy and does what he's capable of, though, he'll prove a bargain at this price).TE - Dustin Keller 2 (I really think he's an obvious choice. Favre will make him more productive than the typical rookie TE. A solid value here).Total TEs: 2 for 17

Love Keller at that price. I was a Heap owner in a keeper league for several years before I finally let him go this season. He's got the talent, for sure, but he just can't stay on the field and I couldn't take that risk. For about $15 I teamed Crumpler and Fasano with Keller - I was more comfortable with those two additional options than getting one of the TE's available in the $15 range.

PK - Phil Dawson 3 (I think this was another case of matching up against the byes as that kept me away from Bironas as well as Crosby - I changed kickers so much I'm a little hazy on what exactly happened to be honest).PK - Matt Prater 1 (Mandatory. The kid's got a cannon leg.)Total PKs: 2 for 4

DT - San Diego 8 (Maybe this shoulda been Minnesota but based on my research of the scoring from last year this team hit double digits more than any other).DT - Tennessee 3 (This team also has been very productive and looks like the best midline choice).DT - Detroit 1 (The Ultimate Survivor contest impacted my thinking here as I decided that a 3rd defense will probably prove more fruitful than an 8th WR. This team had some good weeks last year, although they are inconsistent. My hope with these 3 defenses is that I'll hit double-digits every time. That might bail me out a couple of weeks.Total DTs: 3 for 12

I do somewhat regret not getting 3 defenses, but in this contest you have to roll the dice somewhere. I do think if you go the 3-defense route, you can get away with 3 cheaper defenses, not sure San Diego was necessary for $8 with these other two.

Thanks for the compliment/critique I guess I saw Warner as a companion to Romo - I don't really see where I would go with 2 mid-priced guys instead of 3 QB in any instance, so I'm glad I went this way. WR is always tough and the area that I tend to purposely slough off as I feel there's a lot of guys with value down the list. 1 stud and a bunch of maybes is the way I went last year and it went pretty well.Yeah, Heap might kill me, but hope springs eternal. Keller made it much more palatable to take Heap. Whatever happened to last year's 1 dollar wonder, Eric Johnson? My goal with defenses was to get teams with as many total double-digit weeks as possible as a blanket. These three teams had 22 such weeks last year so I figure the odds of me getting 10+ every week out of this spot are high. I didn't really intend to take the stud Defense in San Diego, but it's kind of how it fell together given the gaps between the guys I had alreadyand the next highest guy I'd be comfortable with (e.g. If I saved 5 bucks and went with a 3 dollar DT instead of San Diego, I didn't feel that I was gaining much with say at TE at 20 bucks).Anyhow, good luck to you man!I gotta admit I'm a little scared to hear there were more than 12,000 entries, though.
