Quiz Guy set it up. Looks like all the scoring is good, except for kickers, which is low right now.
so am i supposed to add the numbers myself or is it supposed to do it for me? i input my team but the "week 1" column is empty.
Mine weren't in there immediately afterwards either (I put them in around 7PM EST). I went and looked again about 30 minutes ago, and they are in there now. Just give it a little more time.ETA: It tallies up your score and puts the players it is using for the score in red. Very nice! :lmao:

Portis/marshall/s smith owner here. Was sweating the poor portis effort thurs but everyone chipped in.

142.95 with just Prater -5 to go.

Totally unofficial preliminary pre-MNF cutoff point would be 100.35.

The Turk will be asking for his own playbook soon. If not this week, then soon. My three QBs were Brady, Croyle, and Ryan.

As a Brady owner in my money league, please allow me to gloat about something:

Tony Romo QB DAL 21.00

Chris Johnson RB TEN 20.20

Willie Parker RB PIT 31.80

Larry Fitzgerald WR ARI 12.10

Marvin Harrison WR IND 15.60

Kevin Walter WR HOU 13.10

Anthony Fasano TE MIA 26.40

Robert Royal TE BUF 20.20

Rob Bironas K TEN 7.00

Mason Crosby K GB 0.00 - tonite

Chicago Defense DEF CHI 12.00

Total 179.40

I'm kicking myself for not taking the Bills D.

WOW! Just checked my score. 186.05 with Cutler, and the Vikes to go (although I already had the bills which helped).

Top scorers - Rivers, Turner, FWP, Cotch, DeSean Jax, Randle El, LJ Smith, Reed, Bills.

If Turner and FWP can stay at a level even close to this I think I could make the final cut (after barely missing the past 3 years!).

184.05 for me. Delhomme, Barber, Chris Johnson, Parker, Burleson, Desean Jackson, Walter, LJ Smith, Gould, and Buffalo D were my highs. I still have Cutler. Looks like I peaked early, just like last year (47th place in week 1 - eliminated in week 12).

This is my first year participating in the survivor contest. What is all this talk of "peaking early"? I ask because it seems like it applies to me.Are there any statistics from last year showing how teams fared in the contest when they scored greater than x amount of pts in the first week or two?

Well, in all my leagues this was the least bloodied team. All I lost was Vince Young, but now have to rely on Warner and Orton to get me through. Not good. Not good 'tall.

Ooops, just re-read the rules and realized there's a flex spot. T. Jones would be that guy bumping Randle el giving me 189.55. SWEET! :football:

144.25 w/McFadden and Peterson left tonight. I also own St. Smith and Br. Marshal.
I'm in a similar postion. Looks like I put up around 160 and have S. Smith and Marshall in waiting.I wonder how many other teams did this.

I doubt there's any reason to worry about "peaking early". If anything, a high score in week 1 may indicate a well-constructed team and correlate to more success in the contest, not less, but even that's a stretch. I suppose the idea is that people only expect to get a handful of "good" weeks out of guys like DeSean, etc., and don't want to "waste" one the first week. But I don't see how it's relevant.

In the end it takes equal amounts of skill and luck to advance in this - whether you made the cut by 1 point or 100 points, just be happy you made the cut and move on.

Last year my squad scored over 210 points week 1, a little over 180 points week 2. They were the highest totals I posted all season in the contest. Shortly thereafter the injury bug bit. Injuries to Rudi Johnson, Andre Johnson, etc. My squad managed to hang around through the bye weeks, but was bounced week 11.

Not bad! I also have Cutler to go as well as Curry, Crosby , and (with a disappointing performance by MJD and without a suspended Steve Smiff)I'm already sitting on 195.60.

I was hoping for a response like this! Still, it might be cool to see stats that might show a correlation between last years week 1 performances and how teams finished the contest.

Not that this is extremely useful, but just eyeballing the results it looks like out of the top 25 scores in Week 1 last year, only one of them made it into the final 250. The guy who won the contest last year put up a respectable 174 points in week one, which was 1440th place that week. I'm not going any deeper than that but maybe Drinen can run the numbers. If you're interested, here are the Week 1 results and the final results from last year.

Of course, everyone made the week 1 cut last year, so it didn't really matter. :lmao:

how do you find your scores for this contest?
Here are all the scores *unofficially*Also, QB scoring is a little off if they were sacked and their total yardage was negative.

OC...how many teams are logged into your system? Do you think you have a big enough sample size to attempt to project cuts yet? I'm curious what your 5th percentile number is relative to Doug's number.

214.5 so far. I think I should make it.

Good week considering I got squat from most of my top WRs (Holmes, Ginn). Need Portis to step up to have any sort of chance at this. Might be a tall order with that offense.

:goodposting: If you taken Young instead of Ryan you would have hit the trifecta.
