Over half my team has completed the bye week. I would like to thank all 22 members of my team, even Ricky and Nugent. So far it has been a complete team effort!Positions Missing on Remaining Bye Weeks:Week 6 - 1-of-4 DefWeek 7 - 1-of-3 QB, 1-of-5 RBWeek 8 - 1-of-3 QB, 1-of-6 WR, 1-of-2 KWeek 9 - 2-of-4 DefWeek 10 - 1-of-5 RB, 1-of-6 WRWeeks 6 and 9 basically no players with a bye.Weeks 7, 8 and 10 will be down 1 player at two of the three key positions. Week 10 those two are Portis and TO. So if I'm still alive that will probably be my toughest week.
train? Not necessarily, as I made some other moves that I probably wouldn't have made without Warner. I paired him with Cutler and Romo, and Warner has finished a point or 2 out of my score every week. For my team, I also have Fitz, and I love knowing that both of those guys get points every time Fitz has a nice game. I also paired Marshall with Cutler, so I have 2 pairs of huge weapons that can go off in a given week. Do I leave points on my bench? You bet I do, but I also have some pretty nice insurance if one of my other guys gets hurt. Warner is injury prone himself, but he provides some awfully good backup for his dirt cheap cost. It's also nice to know that even if I don't use him but he ends up on 70-80% of rosters by the finals, I won't potentially lose ground to the pack if he has a huge game, which is a definite possibility.I'm definitely in the camp of wanting all the hugely popular players on my team, as long as I have at least some means to separate in the end. Primarily, they become popular because they have scored well, and I don't want to be spotting the field a huge advantage that I can only make up by depending on one of my unique guys. This year, I think I have a handful of those unique players, and looking at the power rankings, my UQ supports that thought. Sitting at #2 in overall power, yet with a fairly low UQ compared to the other leaders, I feel pretty good about my chances assuming I don't get nailed by the injury bug..In theory, any player that hasn't scored for your team is a waste of money, so on his team Warner is a waste. On my team he's an MVP, but I have Delhomme and Warner as the only QBs.I dont think Warner is a waste for anyone until he misses games. And it looks like he is one of the best values going next to S. Slaton and Desean Jackson And if wondering, I dont have Warner for the contest -- but the numbers are the numbers.bro1ncos said:...Warner has been a waste of $5 so far even though he has put up excellent numbers. I will be happy if I can make it until Colston gets back in the game. Hoping Nugent is back in time for Prater's bye week. 2 weeks where I had to use a TE as my flex player and 1 weekend where I used a TE that scored 0.

Maybe I have a chance. Henderson and the Minn DT/ST already count. This week is going to be interesting. I'm only at 95.7, but I have some hope of making it above the unofficial pre-MNF cut of 116.X. A. Peterson (-4.4), D. Henderson (-0.0), and Minn D (-0.0). So, almost anything those guys do will be additional points, so somehow I need at least 25 points generated from those 3. Please, Peterson, make this a big day.Good news is that if I do somehow survive, 4 of my 5 RBs have already passed their bye, and 2 of my 3 TEs have passed their bye. And, aside from WR (only 1 player has passed his bye), I have enough bye week support at the other positions.Prayers for McFadden and Shockey to get healthy as well.
I should have listened to my gut there. I had the combo in my first team incarnation, but I switched them out for Portisyeah he has been nailsJStewart + DWilliams combo has been pretty potent tooI have a prediction of one player that will likely be on a lot of the final teams....It's not who you might think...Matt Prater.I wish I had him on my contest team.

There is still a team left with Tom Brady as their only QB, and he's sitting at 123.1 right now. Looks like he'll make it another week. At least Brady had his bye already!

And that one...Do we get credit for Bush's TD return?

So with that I think I gained about 26 points tonight to end up around 128. Think that gets me to next week?I'm at 102.75. I've got Brees (-18.75), Bush (-7.1) & the Saints D (-0).It seems I'm likely cooked, but I've got a shot...
You know that Reggie only scored 12.6 right?ThefantasyStar has a 105 cutoff predicted... but I think I read earlier in this thread that it was already at 116 or so. Where we at? Reggie has given me HOPE!
What do ya know, Berrian gets off the schneid after all. Done at 159.80 and on to week 6This assumes Berrian doesn't pass Walter this week:5 times: Prater (8), LT2 (9), Fitzgerald (7)4 times: S Moss (10), Tennessee (6)3 times: Warner (7), MJD (7), Slaton, Breaston (7), Keller2 times: Romo (10), S Smith (Giants), Heap, Walter1 time: Ray Rice, D Hagan, San Diego (9), Berrian (8)0 times: Ricky Williams, P Dawson, Detroit, M Ryan (7)basically, I'm gonna be really sweating it out week 7-QG

He was on a bye? I didn't notice any dropoff in production from Braylon this week.Hey, I just noticed that I'm going to survive Braylon Edwards' bye week.![]()

thanks for the update!Courtney Taylor provide an interesting lesson in correlation vs. causation. Despite their doing absolutely nothing this season, their owners are doing quite well.
FYI.. Arizona plays this week against the Cowboys. They are off week 7.. Should help you out a bit..Is this my swan song?
Week 6 OUT:
Parker, CJ3, Warner, Fitzgerald, Colston, Reggie Williams, Robert Royal, Rob Bironis
Week 6 LEFT:
Orton, Romo, TJones, Ricky Williams, Slaton, BMarshall, Harrison, KWalter, Greg Olson, AFasano, DKeller, PK Crosby, Bears, Rams
Un-freaking-believable.I survived the cut this week with ~128 pts. Good enough for me.
But in more important news, THE GUY WITH 14 KICKERS IS STILL ALIVE!![]()
