2008 Baseball wagering thread (1 Viewer)

Day games, I lean Atl and Houston in the early games.......but I am having a hard time picking against two home teams each coming off a loss.

Give me the Snakes -118 and Detroit -131

D'backs are still hot, and the Pads can't hit, that's a good combo in my book. I've faded the Angels about 2-3 times the past week and well, I've lost each one. Going back to the well one more time.

I like STL -125 Wainwright over Oswalt. The Astros have won 6 straight. It's gotta end sometime. Day game following a late rain delayed game is the ticket. Home team wins.

NYM -110 Maine over Hudson. I like the Mets to bounce back behind Maine at home.

Although I also like DET at home against LAA, and SD at home against AZ, I'll prolly lay off.

Threw a RR Parlay together. Missed hitting one last night when Rincon crapped the bed. Still hit 3 of 4 for a profit.

BOS-TB over 10 -115 - Edwin Jackson can be flammable. Buchholz struggled his last start.

PHL-PIT over 10 -110 - a RHP (Matt Morris) with an ERA over 9 facing Utley and Howard. Kendrick doesn't strike anybody out so the Bucs will at least put the ball in play.

someone tells me what happens here? Is the wager refunded or simply stay out there until the game is resumed and eventaully finished. I assume the later, but the stoopid book has already marked it as a loss. I figure I ought to wait for the game to be finished before I ##### about it.

It's a loss. I had CHW -1.5. Here's the explanation
The Baltimore Orioles v Chicago White Sox has been suspended due to rain following the conclusion of the 11th inning. For betting purposes the side will be no action but the run lines and totals will count because nine full innings were played.

This exact same thing happened to me last year in a Yankees-Orioles suspended game and I lost that one too. Friggin Orioles

I was laying low after a rough start. I did go 2-1 yesterday (unposted).

Col/SF O 7.5 -105 - this line seems so low it can't be right - I played it anyway

Any thoughts on CIN-ATL? Reds have struggled on the road but Hudson has stunk his last couple starts. Leaning towards CIN +135.

Also looking at STL -135 with Wainwright facing Hill.

Can someone point me to where I can find who the umpires are for tonight's games? Do they typically only release this info just before first pitch?

The guys in the Royals lineup have traditionally hit Santana pretty well, and he's pitched horribly in Kaufmann. Based on records, you should be able to get a good price on KC tomorrow against the Angels.
