Chris Johnson...

Noone saw him coming (unless you are a draft speed freak). Lendale gets relegated to situational duties as the Titans love their new weapon...

From what I've seen of McFadden so far, he could have an Adrian Peterson-type impact. Fargas and Bush are good but McFadden is going to be a superstar.

Kevin Smith. I have nothing else to add.
He has a better chance of winning Dancing With the Stars sometime in his life than to become a successful NFL RB barring major running style fixes. My bet is on James Hardy. Will be starting week 1, and has the size, talent, and ability to run routes to be successful right away.

is this based on the 66 yard run against the worst D in the league or the other 5 carries for 11 yards against the worst D ?

Matt Ryan. :goodposting:
:X QB's are automatically given a small bias in these types of awards. Plus, Ryan will need to only win a handful of games to technically "improve" the Falcons from the '07 campaign. After ADP's monster season last year, the RB hopefuls will need to tattoo some monster stats this year to be considered.

I'm inclined to agree with this. DMac is probably the next choice as he figures to get plenty of opportunities in Oakland to carry the ball.

If you mean 300+ carries and ALL goal-line situations as "situational duties", I'd say Lendale will still be pretty darn important to the Titans.........Close race for R.O.Y., but in the end.....D-Mac edges out D.K.......in layman's terms that's McFadden over Keller for Rookie Of The Year.

I'll say Matt Ryan, I think Atlanta is going to surprise some people this year. If Ryan gets them to 8-8 or so he's almost a lock unless one of the RB's has an AD-like year.

Easy pick: DMac

Sleeper pick: Keller
:) There's a reason why TE's are 0-for-42 in winning this award. Think about what you have to show to win the award, and then think about what rookie TE's are having to learn and master.
My bad. Deep Sleeper Pick: KellerThere is a 1st for everything...........and what fun is it going with what everyone else thinks anyways?

 It's a tall order, that's all.

I'm surprised that Ray Rice hasn't been mentioned yet. If McGhee mises time Ray could shine. Other than that, Kevin Smith gets my vote.

Easy for me to just be the 25th person to say DMac...

but no one has mentioned Royal yet; hes being given a chance to start.

As high as I am on Chris Johnson in FF (PPR), I like Forte to win ROY. I'm sure this will be a minority opinion, but I don't believe McFadden, Stewart, or Mendenhall will get near the amount of touches Forte gets.

Jonathan Stewart.
It's nothing I've heard or read, but I've got to suspect that the Panthers will play it conservatively with that foot this year to make sure it's good and healed. I drafted Steward in one league, but I've got to think DMac has the inside track among the RB's.

Agree.
I can't believe anyone suggested Stewart who isn't even healthy enough for a preseason game. This will come down between the Arkansas backs. I don't see anyone else in the running for it.
