2008 Scouts Inc. Live Mock Draft (1 Viewer)

why the hell would the Ravens trade up one spot to get Ryan? Wouldn't think the Pats would go there.

If the Pats wanted Ryan, they wouldn't trade with the Ravens. Would guess they are speculating that NE is the first team that will want to trade out to the 8 spot, and that the Ravens are concerned the Bears, Panthers, Lions, Chiefs are going to try to move back up to #7 to get Ryan.

With the #3 pick in a dynasty draft I'll be pretty pissed if Stewart goes to the Chargers. And I thought it would suck if he went to Seattle (JJ owner).

good point

If Stewart somehow fell that far, I can't see the Jags passing on him. Fred Taylor is in the twilight of his career and has made statements that seem to reflect that he is well aware that 1-2 seasons is all he has left. Stewart would be an excellent compliment to MJD moving forward and the Jags remain a run first team that expects to use more than 1 RB. RB is not a burning need for the Jags but is very important to their offensive style and if they continue to win games it may be a very long time before they get a shot at a RB prospect like Stewart.

They gave Greg Jones a healthy contract extension for this very reason.

Or maybe they gave him the extension because he's a Pro Bowl caliber FB on a team that focuses on running the football. Sure, it's nice that Jones can fill in at RB if needed due to injury. But the mindset of the Jaguars seems to be that Greg is an excellent FB and that's enough. There are several rumors around Jax that have the Jags taking Felix Jones in the first if he's there the other guys they are targeting are gone. I've been saying for almost 2 years now, Greg Jones is an excellent fullback and it looks like that's what he will be his whole NFL career.

Seahawks taking Fred Davis in the 1st :moneybag:

A deep TE class to still get a good TE in the 2nd round and with Stewart on the board I don't see how he would get past the Hawks.

Because they're not playing fantasy football. They have JJ for $16m on a 4year deal with $5m due this year; I think they'll take a RB, but not in the 1st.

What does fantasy football have to do with it? A Julius Jones and TJ Duckett tandem is seriously not the backfield the Hawks are gonna go with into the future. No one is saying they have to cut Julius Jones, but having Julius Jones allows Stewart to ease into the roll exactly like Alexander did. They may not take a RB in the 1st, but no way they are taking a TE. My preference would be a OL or DL.
