2010 In-season trade rumors (1 Viewer)

Post them here. Figure we'd be better off corralling everything here than having it spread throughout the board.

Getting things going a bit early this year. With the economy in a tailspin and Detroit being in the heart of it I wouldn't be surprised to see them ship Cabrera for a package of prospects. They can't handle their payroll and the rest of that roster is thin. They have no real shot at winning anything if they keep Cabrera. The farm is barren. They have no 4 or 5 star prospects and their biggest chip is Cabrera. If they don't move him they drown. Good chance he ends up in Red Sox. The alternative would be Morneu or Ramirez. It's unlikely the fish will deal Ramirez and if the Sox can get one more big bat they'll get by using a defensive shortstop.I've got some other information I'm dying to share but it's going to have to hold off until the end of the season
Ortiz looking lifeless, this rumor is gaining some steam.
Apr 11, 2010 09:22 AM CDTRed Sox continue to eye Miguel CabreraThe NewsMiguel Cabrera apparently remains a "top target" of the Boston Red Sox, according to the Boston Globe.Right-click here to download pictures. Our ViewIf true, this is just another sad piece of evidence that the rest of Major League Baseball is simply becoming a farm system for the Red Sox and New York Yankees. Cabrera has a large contract and is playing for a contending team in a big market, but if the Tigers continue to bleed money, they very well may be forced to eventually sell him off. Stay tuned.

Sox should sign Jermaine.
Shticking it up for your team?Dye didn't hit a damned thing after the All Star break and his defense is atrocious. Really, really, atrocious. For a team that is making a defensive push, I can't fathom him being a match.

I wasn't suggesting the play him in the field. I'm sure he can be had on the cheap and he'd probably look better in the box the Ortiz.

He hit below the Mendoza line after the All Star Break. His OBP was .274It was really horrible. I also don't know how cheaply he'll come as he's turned down offers from the Cubs and Nationals. And he's such a liability in the field they'd have to keep him at DH, which would hurt their flexibility.
