Welcome to the Sunday starts of the 2011 season
For those of you new to the Shark Pool on a Sunday, here's how it works:
Player Status
Injury Threads for any relevant offensive fantasy players that are Questionable or worse will be given their own pinned thread until the game commences.
Players who are listed as Probable will rarely be listed, but if the demand is there, then he'll be pinned as well.
If you see a player not listed on Sunday with a pinned thread, you are welcome to create thread. A moderator will make a decision on whether or not it will be pinned.
Please use these threads for updates only.
Lineup decisions should go to the Assistant Coach forum. Please remember that guys use these threads to find news, not opinion. There are plenty of threads on players that aren't pinned for player discussion.
For guys playing on Monday Night football, if somebody hears something, say so, but don't expect any news before the early games.
Inactives
I don't always have the time to keep on top of these. As much information as possible will be in a pinned thread, so if someone can create a thread each week and list these details it would be appreciated. Alternatively I'll get on top of this in the last 30 minutes before the early games.
Game Threads
Game Threads will be posted within the last 30 minutes before the start of a game and will be pinned once we're under way. If something happens during a game, please try and help us all out by stating what has happened and not just "Whoa" or "did you see that?". The game you are watching is not the only one happening and for those of us not watching that particular game we would like to know specifics.
Venting
There will be a Venting and bragging thread if you want to get things off your chest. If there are separate threads for each person with a grievance, it tends to clog up the board and allows important threads to get missed. The Venting thread is your place to Vent. Please remember to stay within board guidelines and think before you post. We'd rather not ban anyone on a Sunday or have to refer it to an Admin for further action.
In Game Injuries
There will be a separate injury thread that will be pinned once we get under way. If someone looks like they've got a knock, post about it there. If it's an obviously REALLY bad injury, a thread dealing with this players will be okay. If there is any doubt, please keep it in the Injury Thread. If I had a dollar for every time a player was "injured" and came back into the game the next series I'd have a lot of money.
If there's anything I've missed, or you'd like to comment on respond in here. We've been operating this way for years, but are always willing to move with the times and listen to new ideas.
Most of all be excellent to each other and enjoy the games.
