I had the #2 spot. First round was going pretty quickly but then we got bogged down and had some technical issues. Eventually we threw the timer on and we would probably still be drafting if we didn't invoke it. No-one followed my mock draft examples, starting with 1.01, so I had to totally adjust my strategy

(except for my first RB's which I discuss below). Scoring made you think about QB's a little more. Overall, in this draft I think you have to enjoy the journey and not necessarily the destination
Hasselbeck, Matt QB - 6 16.11
Roethlisberger, Ben QB - 11 5.02
Sanchez, Mark QB - 8 9.02
Being on the turns you can miss a run on players, depending on when it starts. With the 6 pts/TD the QB's started going fairly early (6 during the first 4 rounds). I'm thinking "this is the Perfect Draft"? I was planning to take one at 7.02 but took Ben at 5.02 and caught a little flack for it. Romo, Ryan, Schaub, Stafford and Freeman were all available with comparable projections so I took Ben who had the more favorable schedule thru week 5. We'll see. In hindsight, I probably would take Schaub or Romo.
Foster, Arian RB - 11 1.02
Harper, Jamie RB - 6 22.11
Hunter, Kendall RB - 7 21.02
Jennings, Rashard RB - 9 11.02
Murray, DeMarco RB - 5 15.02
Tolbert, Mike RB - 6 7.02
Williams, DeAngelo RB - 9 2.11
Not too much in this crowd after Foster. LIke I said, AD went 1.01 so I ended up with Foster, but who's complaining. Probably one of my mistakes was taking DeAngelo at the 2.11 turn. I let Vincent Jackson and Mike Wallace fall (Stephen Holloway wasn't complaining and probably spit his drink out. Ok, probably everyone spit their drinks out

). I thought the RB depth was kind of shallow, compared to the WR's and had my mind made up I was taking RB's with my first two picks. Harper was a flyer in case Chris Johnson decides to take more time to work out his contract and Harper has been pushing Ringer a little bit. Hunter was a flyer hoping he might break into the line up early in the season. Lot of potential in this crowd if RB1's get hurt early in the season.
Bennett, Earl WR - 8 13.02
Gates, Edmund WR - 5 24.11
Jones, Julio WR - 8 4.11
Moore, Lance WR - 11 6.11
Sanders, Emmanuel WR - 11 14.11
Shipley, Jordan WR - 7 19.02
Williams, Mike (TB) WR - 8 3.02
After the DeAngelo pick, I redeemed myself a little bit by picking up Sanders in the 14th. I think Sander's expectations have fallen a little bit since last year, and he may need to pick it up a notch to really perform at the next level this year. Happy with Williams and Jones. I am probably a bigger fan of Bennett this year than most - but I think he has a chance to be decent in Chi-town this year - hopefully early. Moore one of the "healthy" Saints receivers and, again, hopefully he can produce early. Gates was a total flyer at the end that might come thru with some long TD's.
Cook, Jared TE - 6 12.11
Gonzalez, Tony TE - 8 8.11
Probably should have taken another TE - hopefully these two can be productive. Hoping Cook gets lots of looks with the situation in Tennessee.
Hanson, Jason PK - 9 17.02
Mare, Olinda PK - 9 20.11
Detroit and Miami should have some pretty active offenses. Probably should have taken one more PK instead of one of the RB/WR flyers.
Broncos, Denver DEF - 6 23.02
Packers, Green Bay DEF - 8 10.11
Titans, Tennessee DEF - 6 18.11
Defenses - well lot of points in the league scoring for shutouts/low points allowed, but that is rather unusual so not sure defenses will play a large role, except to have several of them and hope one of them produce each week.
Although it went late, I had a good time. Good luck to everyone else in the league. Mega thanks to the FBG staff that put on these (I'm hearing "cluster" quite a bit lately) contests and put up with the late nights.
