They haven't given up, but they're not sweeping the White Sox or anything. They've fattened up against the Sox and Blue Jays the past week.

That 1-5 stretch against the Orioles and Yanks two weeks ago was a real dagger. Even go 3-3 and they're in the thick of it. ####.

The Rays have one of the best front offices in baseball. They are not stupid.One team I would be talking to is the Royals for Billy Butler. Royals need pitching, Rays desperately need hitting. Butler is a professional hitter, and the Royals have plenty of young hitters to replace Butler's bat (Will Myers will be up next season).
