That's exactly where I'm going for my 30th pick. That's a hint.Go to hell Tim
That's how it used to be, I think. There's a change this year. It has been a debate for as long as this league has been around.I've got quite a few players with regular season games in December. So even if I leave some slots open in weeks 1-14 I still can't play those guys in week 15? Why don't we just cap it at 14 games per slot and play for the full regular season? Too complicated?
Ok I'll give this another shot.29.11 Jeff Driskel QB UF
That was difficult to type out, even in the 29th round.
Edit: ####. Didn't see pumpnick's pick. Will choose again shortly. Can't believe I'm upset that I didn't get Jeff Driskel.
The rules have been different every year. The free agent frenzy to fill up starts with short week players has been a major issue in the past. With only like 8 games in December this year, it was much easier to simply use 99% of the season rather than figure out a rule set that prevents picking up Cincinnati's 4th string RB to start for you in December. That's how it used to be, I think. I understand how that could be a pain but the flip-side of that is some pretty marquee players miss out on a game. Have you guys had caps on the number of starts in the past? What's the downside of doing it that way?The rules have been different every year. The free agent frenzy to fill up starts with short week players has been a major issue in the past. The picking up of every free agent available in the short week to create a bastardized version of a championship week where everyone is trying to reach their cap. We one year had a rule that a player had to be on your roster at an earlier date but it still caused tension.I understand how that could be a pain but the flip-side of that is some pretty marquee players miss out on a game. I didn't mean to give the impression that I was complaining or anything, the rules were definitely clear I'm just thinking out loud. Wouldn't most teams already be at their cap heading into the last week? Wasting a start on some FA scrub just because he has a game the last week of the season seems like a losing strategy. The picking up of every free agent available in the short week to create a bastardized version of a championship week where everyone is trying to reach their cap. Next year the rule might be different. I think it has been almost every year. I made it very clear that some players would be short of 12 games. Similar to the fact that every year a few teams get 13 games due to playing at Hawaii. No matter how you design a NCAA league, it will always be imperfect.
I already know the problem this year. When your WR mystically does not play due to an mysterious injury or infraction and you can't make up the game.I didn't mean to give the impression that I was complaining or anything, the rules were definitely clear I'm just thinking out loud. Can you please refresh my memory and explain how the bidding process works again? Thx.SinsterKid, use the link in the first post and join at fantrax so I can input the rosters. And as noted, the rosters were final at 10:40 PM Central Monday night so Rudnicki currently has 29 players and golden_domer as 27 players. The first free agent bidding will occur the Wednesday after the first weekend of games.
Every Wednesday (beginning after the first weekend of games) each owner will have $200 to spend on free agents. The highest bid at 5 PM Eastern Wednesday will acquire a player (tie goes to lowest in standings/worst first round draft order week 1). Multiple players can be bid upon. One thing to keep in mind is to set all free agents you bid on to reserve (in the window that pops up) because fantrax will reject free agents if you have too many starters as a result (I will fix when this happens). Can you please refresh my memory and explain how the bidding process works again? This is the only MSU player I would've considered drafting. If they can find someone to get him the ball, he'll be a stud.Via text DaOzMan picks 28.02 Aaron Burbidge, WR, Michigan State
Thank you. We have $200 every week? Or $200 total throughout the year?Every Wednesday (beginning after the first weekend of games) each owner will have $200 to spend on free agents. One hour after the bids are processed FCFS will open and last until the games begin Saturday. Each FCFS pickup will retroactively cost $1 in bidding cash.
Also, do we post the bids in this thread? Or at Fantrax?Thank you. We have $200 every week? Nice gamble. Now, if he can remember how to play the foosball...As I expected, Dyer is going to Louisville. I assume Fantrax will add him soon.
Yeah, 2 seasons off. Hopefully he's not too rusty. It's not like UL plays a tough team at all this season though.Nice gamble. Now, if he can remember how to play the foosball...As I expected, Dyer is going to Louisville. I assume Fantrax will add him soon.
