2013 NFL Offensive Rookie of the year predictions (1 Viewer)

Call it now. It's way too early, but lots of fun. Plus, there's bound to be crazy hatred and anger posted. Just predict it anyway. Someone is going to pick it right and gloat later, as they should. But that's going to be just more fun. So, go for it.

I'll start.

Aaron Dobson - WR NE Patriots

I will go with Lacy.

He has the advantage of playing for a team that should be in the playoff hunt in December. I not sure I can say that about most of the other rookies listed here.

Montee Ball

Great opportunity as a 3 down back and shouldn't see more than 7 in the box too often with Peyton under center.

The favorite has gotta be Tavon Austin, especially if he returns kicks.

I'd give Bernard, Ball, and Bell all good shots at it too.

You don't think Montee Ball will be in the playoff hunt on the Broncos? :)

Patterson, Minn is going to find ways to get him the ball and he's going to make several big plays in that offense.

Montee Ball. I just see him getting the workload from Denver and taking over.

Second pick: DeAndre Hopkins. I think he is the missing piece in that passing game. I can see him with anywhere from 50-70 catches for 700-1000 yards with some big time clutch plays to help push the Texans over the hump.

I just cannot figure Patterson doing all that much this year. Yes, it'll be 8 in a box (to stop Peterson) but, based on Patterson's game being the shorter passes that he then turns up the field, won't those same 8 in the box be closer to him and thus better able to stop him?

Ball is a good pick. Actually, I think any running back that could lead his team in rushing and plays in the post season is a good candidate.

Wide receivers usually take longer to adjust to the NFL than running backs. EJ Manuel could be the good candidate but do the sports writers recognize his contribution if the team ends up below 500.

I'm pretty sure Offensive Rookie of the Year doesn't take into account post-season accomplishments.

Although, helping your team get there at all obviously is a nice feather in your cap when it comes to the vote.

Isn't that the same type of game Harvin played? Harvin was in the running for league MVP before his injury. Who knows it could happen?

You are correct. Ballots are cast at the end of the regular season and before the playoffs.

I look for Bell to post #s like Morris did last year. So unless there's a QB that goes off like RG3 did last year, that should be enough to get it for Bell.

You look for Bell to put up over 1600 yards? That seems optimistic. What Morris did was pretty remarkable, I don't think its going to become some benchmark for rookie RB success.
