*** 2013 Official Philadelphia Eagles - NFC EAST CHAMPS*** (2 Viewers)

Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

We'll be screaming for Foles by week 5.
Sure about that? lol

I do find it funny though if Vick was in there this game all you would hear is people saying "Same old vick" or "look, he holds the ball too long & can't read a defense"
Zackley. :thanks:
My God has this been beaten to death...

What's funny is that you look at a 10 year vet the same as a guy who has roughly 7 games under his belt. It's embarrassing actually.

@EaglesInsider: #Eagles announce 13 moves (Part 1 of 2): Release: E. Brown, A. Dixon, D. Dixon, King, Kinne, Kopa, Lindley (Injury Settlement), Momah

@EaglesInsider: #Eagles moves (2 of 2): Released: Murphy, Reynolds, Robinson, Tennant. Placed Joe Kruger on IR w/shoudler injury suffered last night.

was invited to a cookout this sunday and got all excited about BBQ+BEER+FOOTBALL until I remembered that NFL doesn't kick off until next week.

:sadbanana:

Your horse has been beaten 10 times worse then that horse.

Love Maehl getting the last wr spot over Salas. Guy has sticky fingers and appears to be a hard worker. Good for him. Can't hurt he was a Duck, though that didn't work out for Dixon.

I am shocked.

Danny Watkins released today.

Thanks Reid!
Also Lindley. Hated that pick. I know it was only a 4th rounder but I just remember saying "Wtf? this guy isn't even rated in the next 20 CBs." Chip did a lot of house cleaning on Reid's mistakes.

What a waste of a 1st round pick.... 27 years old and we took him in the first. Ugh.... I can't wait to see the Eagles opener. This is going to be fun to watch, even though our defense has several years to go to be adequate.

46/53 on my roster projection. <_<

On the bright side, it's the last time Danny Watkins will let me down. Since they haven't added anybody at OLB yet, right now my top backup outside would be Kendricks, with (M)Acho Man coming into the inside. They did actually keep 5 safeties.

Hoping keeping Igwenagu over Harbor isn't outsmarting themselves. Harbor is an underachiever but I'd still bet he would contribute more than Iggy.

... if Foles comes out and lights it up in the quarter or so I'm assuming he gets Vick could start the season under a fair bit of pressure, at least from the media and fans.
So obviously this didn't happen. Ignoring the issues with the team around him, he definitely held the ball too long in that game, often. See you in a 8-10 weeks Nick. :bye:

Harbor was a 4th TE that was moved to WR but can't catch. Great. He stinks.

I don't particularly care, it just seems odd. Harbor can catch, just not all the time. Igwenagu can't run or catch. I hadn't seen one prediction that had him making the roster.

Emmanuel Acho cut to make room for LB Najee Goode. I don't understand what Casey Matthews has done to make the team. I remember he ran into his own guy in the Jets game, which led to a long gain. Special teams is an important part of the game, and I'm glad Chip Kelly's emphasizing it, but even if Casey is this special teams super stud (he's not), doesn't the ability to be a backup LB mean more than what you can do for the special teams?

Agree. I thought Acho was consistently good, Matthews and Knott were both patchy and should have been competing for the same spot. According to nfl.com Goode has OLB as well as ILB experience and has played in a 3-4.

Went to Oregon haha. 13% of current Ducks in the NFL play for the Eagles.... and that's AFTER we just cut 2 of them :P

Predictable. A new coach is going to lean towards what he's familiar with when its a toss up. Next year, I expect a lot less ducks.

I'm going with Eagles 24-21

I want to think there's going to be some major rust on RG3
I'm hoping for this too. Although I read an article recently (and I can't seem to find it) about QB's stats in their first game back from ACL injuries and it seems like they historically have put up big numbers. With how our D looks, I think its likely RG3 has a big day.

With both our defenses not looking overly great, and both offenses capable of putting up lots of points, I can see this one going a bit higher scoring then that. I'm going to be optimistic and say we pull off the upset.

Eagles 30 Skins 28. Alex kicks the game winner with no time left.

@JordanRaanan: With RG3 set to face #eagles, here's a look at how star QBs have done in 1st game and season post-ACL injury http://t.co/t8x8zkhmYP

I'm going 35-28 Skins. For some reason I think RG3 will go gang busters on the Birds but the offense will put up sick points on a pretty good defense. I can take that.

Skins get up and then control the clock with their offense. Vick is forced to win or lose the game with his feet and left arm. Foles almost did so as a rookie under terrible circumstances so no excuses afterwards!

Awesome thanks! that was what I was looking for

Soooooo.... score prediction?

Skins 31, Eagles 23 with 1:43 left in the fourth. Chip shows how a 2 minute offense is supposed to run and the Eagles covert a 2 pt conversion to go into overtime. ???????

I'll go the other way. I think our line gets to RGIII early and often. I don't think he is 100% and I think our defense, while not stout is being sold a little short. Also believe that Kelly has shown nothing so far and is chomping at the bit to prove his worth on Monday night. I heard that they are projecting this to be biggest MNF ratings ever.

Birds win and by a decent margin. 31-23.

Are you Philly guys seeing a big year for Desean Jackson this year?
Yes.

Lit up camp. Chip moving him all around the field. Best WR on the team by far. I expect plenty of touches.

With an expected run heavy offense, defenses cant afford to leave safeties deep for desean anymore.
