*** 2013 Official Philadelphia Eagles - NFC EAST CHAMPS*** (2 Viewers)

Today is going to take FOREVER!
Yup, been up since 7 getting the pork shoulder ready for the crock pot. Cutting onions, mixing up the rub, a bottle of Sweet Baby Rays waiting...got a fridge full of River Horse Belgian Freeze for AtD's signature pulled pork, slaw and beer. All that's missing is a football game.

E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!

:football:
SWEET BABY RAY'S!!! :excited:

Nice spread, what time should I be over???

I just shoveled a spot and pulled the smoker out of the garage. Wings first then the prime rib. I'm hoping to be full and drunk by 8 and in my seat! I can't believe its only 12:30!!

Could hardly sleep. I dreamt Cooper scored two TDs in a win! In fact I'm putting him in my nfl.com playoff lineup!
Apparently, you and Michael Irvin share the same dream.

I don't know about 200 yards, but I think he has a huge game. I hope our game plan actually does involve a lot of passing... Saints are going to blitz a lot, and also focus on an extra man in the box to stop mccoy... I think if Foles plays smart, there will be a lot of holes for him. And if we can do the opposite and make the Saints run the ball, slowing the game down like we might want to do a little bit to keep brees off the fielld, will be taken care of by them, not us. Plus, who the hell is gonna run the ball for them?

I see Philly rushing to set up the pass and overall putting up good yards/points tonight. I'm more worried about turnovers and special teams than the Philly pass defense.

On paper, very winnable playoff game to usher in the Kelly-Foles era.

This season has been my favorite since 2004. Don't think it ends tonight.

Big moment for Mark Ingram. Pierre out helps for sure but I think that the Ingram/Sproles combo can be effective tonight. Cole, Barwin, Kendricks and Ryans will be tested tonight playing Sproles/Graham...if Ingram and the line could establish a run the Saints could be very effective. I think the Eagles keep the Saints *mostly* under wraps though.

Just in time to amp me up before the weekend. Such lazy crap. Do people still seriously bring up Booing Santa and Cheering Irvin's injury?

"Stories of fans throwing snowballs, batteries and empty liquor bottles at players and coaches from the opposing team are legendary. A few years back one drunken Philly fan intentionally vomited on an 11-year-old girl."
The above statement gets me SUPER fired up because in the context of the article it implies that A. he was at an Eagles game, which he was not (phillies) and B. that he was from Philly, which he was not (Jersey).

So lame that this get an entire article. Every. Effing. Year.
meh Jersey Philly all the same

agree to disagree, all the fans i know from jersey or philly are pretty much the same

you know as well as I do that it is all the Philadelphia metro area. Are you suggesting that Philadelphia-proper residents are all categorically different from those in SJ suburbs or PA burbs? Half of them grew up in one versus the other. So it seems a little niggling to be arguing about this.

No kidding? Might be the first time I've ever been in agreement with that jack off LOL!

That's ONE!

Definately add WR to the offseason needs. Not sure if there's any good ones we can add in the 2nd or 3rd, but we could use someone.

We need to get a new kicker. But for now, I'm just excited about this team's future. Expected to win 4 or 5 and we nearly beat the Saints in the playoffs. GO EAGLES!

turning point of the game...Riley cooper's dropped pass
No. How does the turning point happen when you are down 6? The turning point was quite simply the kickoff.
yeah I'd say that last kickoff, poor coverage leading to the horse collar penalty. The finality of it hurts bad, but I still love this team going forward. Great season for Chip and Nick. Add a few pieces to the defense and solidify the WRs.

The killer play was Foles taking that sack which knocked them out of Henery range. Overall he played pretty well, but you can't take that sack there. Heave it into the 10th row if you have to.

This.

Henery's miss came from what...48? IN sub 20 degree weather in December? IN the first quarter? Silly to blame him. Cooper's drop was a MUCH bigger blunder IMO- he was good for at least 30 on that play with a chance to take it to the house. INstead it was a three and out.

HOnestly- not really dissapointed. We were supposed to suck, and we did NOT suck. 10 wins and a decent performamce in a playoff game (loss or not- the Birds played a fairly decent game) The defense has holes but improed dramatically as the year went on. The offense is phenominal and well postioned for the future. I'm both happy and proud of the Eagles right now.

I don't blame Henery b/c of the miss. Sure it probably makes the case easier to look elsewhere but his kickoffs were atrocious and he wasn't even that accurate this year. Can't kick it to the 10 yard line on kick offs. Finally caught up to us. Can't find the win probability before the kickoff but it was 50% right after. Imagine 1st and 10 on own 20 would probably be like 30-35% win probability at best.

Well when your kickers effective range is 35 yards what can you do?
Hey I want Henery gone yesterday just like you do. But that's still something Foles needs to improve on next year.

This was a hell of a run though and a pleasant surprise.

I blame him for the miss. He missed 7 this year and cost us at least 2 games. San diego and today.

Another thing RE: Henery, let's say Eagles get the ball back with 1:30 left, down 2 points. Foles gets them down to the Saints 30 yard line. Do you trust Henery from 47 with the game on the line? I don't.

Ill be fine tomorrow and reflect on an awesome year but my lasting memory of this game is Alex ####### Henery.

Alex Henery miss wasn't the killer here. The Saints would have got A TD at the end of the game if it was needed. The eagles D is the problem here.

Missed the beginning if chip's press conference, but the post game guys make it sound like he wasn't too happy with Henery.

While I dislike Henery more than anyone right now, the offense was a shell of itself tonight.

You get 2 interceptions and a bad half from Brees, you need waaaay more than 7 points at half.

All things considered a great year and run from this team. It just hurts a little more when the game was there to be had.
