Also, we're about 10 short of the past couple years, hopefully more coming in.

Plus, may be less people posting these days.... Is there anyone who would send in a list of I push it back a week but won't if countdown is tomorrow?

LIke many others have said, I didn't think any album this year was awesome/unforgettable. In fact, I think the following albums from last year were all superior in most every way: The National, Queens of the Stone Age, the 1975, Lorde, Drake, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, probably a couple others. I've written at least a couple sentences per record in the past but didn't feel compelled to do so this year.

Anyway, here is my ranking/scoring...

Cymbals Eat Guitars - 25

The War On Drugs - 25

Future Islands - 20

The Orwells - 17

D'Angelo - 16

Taylor Swift - 16

Gaslight Anthem - 16

Hookworms - 15

Run the Jewels 2 - 14

Strand of Oaks - 13

Twin Peaks - 12

Ryan Adams - (1984) - 11 points - if the guy had made this an actual album instead a recording of some riffs and hooks it could have been amazing.

Afghan Whigs -10- I haven't been this disappointed in a record in years. It was slightly better than average which sucks considering the previous three records of theirs (and most Twilight Singers stuff) are all in my favorite-ever records.
This adds up to 210 points, I took one off of each of the bottom 10, let me know if you want to redistribute.

####, any chance we can push this back a week? Id be able to submit a top 10 probably tonight but im guessing that ill be forgetting some albums ive enjoyed this year. Id have to think you would get a few more lists as well if you give it another week.

I think I have a list from everyone who said they would send one in. 20 total, I'll still take any leading up till tomorrow AM before I start the countdown, likely 11 ish eastern.

Sent a last minute list - did not get to much outside of country and mainstream rock this year, need to listen to more variety on my commute. Will add my list to this post when I get back home tonight.

Glad I read the rules again, nearly put the Lucero live set in my list, but it does not qualify as it was recorded in November 2013 but released in August.

In the interest of full disclosure, these were the albums I voted for:

Arkells

Cloud Nothings

Cymbals Eat Guitars

The Hold Steady

Hospitality

Lykke Li
