Disagree other than lead changes. There has been lots of movement and shuffling and strategy. I actually don't watch for the big one :) but a final caution will bunch them all back up.

 
Is it my imagination or are there a lot more commercials this year?

 
Wow. Just read that 31% of the race is commercials. That's incredible. As bad as the NFL is, commercials only amount to 24% of the game.

I try so hard to get into NASCAR, but the over-commercialization of the sport is probably the biggest turn off.

Wtf happened? I remember about 10-15 years ago nascar was all the rage - the future of pro sports. Seems to have fallen off a cliff. Mismanagement? Too corporate? My 14 year old son literally can't watch this and I've been hyping it all week.
 
In no particular order.

too corporate

too clean

No longer drive manufacturer cars. Cot ruined that. Although these are closer.

became too expensive so little guys have trouble competing

too much tinkering with scoring and championship

good tracks lost races

too many cookie cutter 1.5 tracks

 
Cause it's awesome

it's a billion times better than basketball

Gonna head down to Fiore's on Main Street for dinner. Should be some happy Italians in Middletown tonight. Should be a much needed pick-me-up for the area. Been a brutal winter.
