2015 FanDuel - Week 2 (1 Viewer)

I think I am off ASJ in most of my cash lineups, I am going with Bennett in more of my lineups as of now. Bennett is likely the top TE option people are going to with Jeffery out.

I'm mostly off Forsett. dude played a surprisingly low % of snaps last week. they gave something called "buck allen" 9 carries last week. now Taliafero is back. plus, that line has been steamed all the way down to Ravens -4.5. nah wave for me.

Yeah, I agree. I'm stuck with him in a regular league. In daily he's purely a GPP play for me.

 
Doing eight large field 50/50 games on FanDuel this week. Here is my ownership at the positions:

Carson Palmer - 7

Palmer, Garcon, Fitz, and Ravens D were the value plays that drove most of my lineups. I felt like Lynch and Brown were the two safest high dollar guys at their respective positions, so I ended up with them on a lot of teams. I think Hyde is almost a must-buy because of his low cost and likely high ownership %. I also think he's a solid value apart from that.

I'm not a big fan of the large field tourneys because it's almost all about luck when the fields are that big, but I put a $1 lottery ticket out there with this team:

QB - Mallett

RB - Hyde

RB - Martin

WR - A Brown

WR - Calvin

WR - Watkins

TE - Cameron

PK - Tucker

DEF - Ravens

I figure to actually win one of these you just have to choose the right contrarian picks that other owners are unlikely to have and get super lucky. Hence the Martin, Watkins, Calvin, and Cameron picks. All good players who are likely to be pretty unpopular this week.

IMO the value play of the week is the Palmer/Fitz combo. Both guys have been solid together dating back to early last season and both guys are fairly cheap, allowing you to bolster in other more critical spots.

I had a couple small duds this week, but overall it looks like these two guys are going to carry me into the $$$ in most of my competitions.

 
Definitely taking a loss this weekend for week 2 of my dfs journey. The brees/cooks and abdullah killed my teams. My palmer/fitz stack may get half my money in play back. We will see. I should also add matthews into that too.

Cuts should be low, but not low enough for me most likely. Looking for a salvage of some sorts from Lynch.

Great at the 1pm only slate again, which is odd because most games were at 1pm and it's not like I'm invested much in primetime games. Bradford Murray and Matthews pretty much stunk it up.

Oh ya -- I also had a $1 5050 thurs lineup put up 138. I put VERY little thought into that lineup. Maybe something to ponder (overthinking and playing more Thurs fades).

Edit: I only played $2 on thurs for a little action and to see some %s. So it's not like I had a bunch of lineups.

I am an over analyzer. That was definitely a downfall. Definitely taking a loss this week. Gonna reel it in next week and be a little more conservative.

played $51 at draft kings and am up $130 as of now.

Played $132 and Fanduel and am up $236 currently..

Still lots of ball to play

It ended up ok thanks to that last TD. My cash lineups at DK scored 150 and 140, which as of now is enough to cash in every double up I was in. My tournament lineups were pretty ugly, my 150 cash was the highest of the day. I had Brown, Steve Smith and Fitz scattered in some tournament lineups but never all 3 together.

 
I would say it was a tough week for most of the FBG crowd including the Staff.

RB's and Defensive teams were pathetic this week.

Right now my 2 cash game lineups on DK are at 154 and 97 with the latter having Luck and Moncrief left. The WR's carried the 154 total, with Brown, Julio, Landry, and Twill leading the way.

My 2 cash game lineups on FD are setting at 118 and 78, with the 78 having Moncrief left. I hoping the 118 will hold on! Fitz was huge for me in that lineup.

QB's - Bradford, Brees, Luck (Ugly so far)

RB's- Lynch, Forte, Hyde, Sankey, Sproles (Ugly)

WR's - Brown, Julio, Landry, Fitz, Matthews, Twill. (Great, may be my saviors)

TE - Miller, ASJ, Reed (Ok, except for ASJ

D- Saints, Caro, Ravens (Ugly)

All in all, hoping to break even this week. If the FD 118 and DK 154 can sqeak out wins!

My high scores for GPP's are 160+ on DK, and a 150+ and 160+ on FD that may win me a few bucks.

Looking back at those RB's and Defensive plays, I should feel like a BIG WINNER if I can just break even week 2.

I keep telling myself, each week will bring more information to make good decisions. But with the teams that won this week (Jax, Raiders, TB) and the teams 0-2 ( Ravens, Saints, Eagles) I don't know how useful the information is really going to be!

Oh well, I still enjoyed the day. Up at 9 setting final lineups and getting into GPP's before noon kickoffs, watched Redzone all afternoon, and watched Da Packers win the rest of the day. All made more fun with a little money on the line!

On to week three!

I think I'm going to win! I'm in a rookie league 50/50. Very cool and fun. I'm now a fan of Fanduel.

The only thing I wish I would have done is listen to Scoresman. He suggested not to play Buffalo. Good call Scoreman, but I didn't listen..lol. Next time. I'm still looking good. I will give my final results after MNF results are in.

Very tough week with RBs, plus I was pretty heavy with Hocker at kicker. Nothing worse than a bunch of random 1's spread throughout your lineups. Thems the breaks, I guess. The only saving grace is that almost all of the highly owned RBs also stunk.

I had one lineup that I threw in Sunday morning that had Dion Lewis & Karlos Williams at RB. I checked into Fanduel's live scoring at about 2 and I was actually in 2nd place (I didn't think for one second that it would last, BTW). I took a screen shot showing that my live entries were worth more than $350,000. I think I'll send it around to some of my friends today and pretend that I won that much money. Now, if I could just figure out how to be in second place at the END of the contest....

 
My RBs were just dumpster fires. Plus I was heavily invested in the Rams Defense. Those choices, in various combinations, coupled with Hocker in some lineups destroyed some potentially lucrative GPP plays I had (Ben-Antonio-Miller stack and a Bed-Edelman stack with a side of Antonio and a Palmer-Fitz stack).

On the cash front, my Taylor lineup did well -- 157.38, so it looks to be a rake. My Thursday cash lineup looks like it should be in the black at 127.8 despite some real duds in it. My Bradford lineup sits at 118.16. I'm hopeful it at least hits the double-ups. My Luck cash lineup is toast; it's also the one that FBG liked the best.

 
It was a tough week but players under perform all the time. I think I managed to break even roughly but I have 3 cash lineups on FD. The ones I had Palmer in I did well, I managed to win some of the ones with Bradford, Julio, Matthews and Terrance. I assumed I lost all the Bradford ones but a lot of players did poorly so it didn't take that much to get into cashing range. If Bradford was just a bit better like 15 pts or 18 pts I probably would have made some profit.

-If Hyde had not gotten injured, he would have done better, SF was in the redzone

-I am starting to think you have to fade NO, that team is not playing well. Ingram should have done better but he wasn't highly owned in FD cash.

-Forsett just seems to not be that good, probably because the OL is not that good and there aren't that many passing threats on Ravens.

-Bennett was considered a strong cash play but Bears offense is a mess. It was better going to ASJ in hindsight because he was cheaper but that is just this time

-Some of the top Defenses got smoked, Dolphins and Ravens.

 
Sitting at 114 and 117 points in my 50/50 lineups. Ranked from 20th-25th in all. Hopefully the cut line is relatively low.

 
Next week doesn't look to be any easier. Lots of low over/unders. No game is projected by Vegas to go over 48 points.

 
Well I decided Sunday morning to invest in Big Ben vs SF. That ended up saving me. Going to have a good week even though ASJ (3.9), Hocker(1) and the Ravens(-1) were horrible and I was highly invested there. Here was my main H2H line up for FD, but I had about 3 others too.

Used this in 17 H2Hs and a $5 tourney. Hard to believe it did this well with 3 positions tanking, but nailed the QB and Recievers.

Similar lineups used on other sites. Had Bradford and Mathews some but not too heavy on them. Currently sitting at:

Fanduel: $222 entry, $373 win

Draftkings: $23 entry, $63 win

FantasyDraft: $100 entry, $400 win

Total: $345 entry, $736 win

I expect these to drop a little tonight but I don't think tonights game is very high ownership. From looking at H2Hs it looks like mostly Ivory. Should be a very good week. A Sunday morning decision I finally got right with adding Ben. Just wish I had trusted it enough to export it into more than just H2Hs.

Placeholder and the person never came back to fix it.

I do that quite a bit early in the week. Just scroll down to the 4500 players and pick a lineup of them knowing I'll use export/import later in the week.

I just went and checked several of the 50/50s that I was in and there was nothing like this. They obviously weren't trying to win with that lineup. I wouldn't be surprised if it was somebodies dummy lineup that they intended to replace on gameday and just forgot.

It cant be a placeholder because I entered all of my lineups within 1-2 hours of kickoff Sunday. Those 50/50s surely werent up for long before that. Unless he meant to come back right before kickoff and just missed the deadline. That's gotta suck.

 
Maybe its a pissed off girlfriend who got into the boyfriends DFS account. I can just picture her going to the players projected to score the least and entering all of them

 
off topic somewhat - how do i look up/follow a player? My buddy had a chance to win big and I was trying to follow him but couldn't figure out how to find him or the tourney he was in...TIA

 
My brain is not functioning correctly, but I'm trying to figure out if I've placed in my 50/50s based on entries that have 0 quarters remaining.

As long as I can count 50 entries currently placed worse than me that are at 0 quarters remaining, I'm good, right?

Fantastic. I only put $10 in play because I didnt realize that Fanduel cutoff adding new $1 games so early on Sundays. Looks like I'll be going 10/10 in a down week so I cant complain.

It's happened to me, especially in hoops. It does suck. Hell, I threw a few bucks into Yahoo this week. I didn't use a "dummy" lineup but it was a quick thing with little thought. I intended to change it Sunday morning. Then I totally forgot about it.

It happens.

And just a friendly PSA -- that Yahoo lineup ended up sweeping. That's with Luck, Sankey, CJ0.65K, Ravens D, and John Brown at flex. I crushed the other WRs, but everyone should have done that. No way that lineup should have hit a quad or caught the bottom of a big GPP, but it did.

 
Good start to the year. $85 ---> $200 after two weeks. Most of that was in week 1 though, won like $25 last week.

The info ITT is super helpful.
