Cliff is probably best to answer this, but anyone that watches the Raptors feel free to chime in. Why did it take so long to give Tucker meaningful minutes and sit Carroll out more?
This is the insight we all look for. Sounds like the immortal Dilfer quote "You cannot lose games and still win in the NFL"."They don't want to go down 4-0" is analysis you can't get just anywhere
Cheap content. Beats paying someone for real analysis.Espn's BPI gave the cavs a 37% chance of winning the game today. Why do they even have that?
I was amazedNot really, Jordan had the better part of 3 years off and 2 years of college.
Dwane Casey. Logic does not apply.Cliff is probably best to answer this, but anyone that watches the Raptors feel free to chime in. Why did it take so long to give Tucker meaningful minutes and sit Carroll out more?
I am sorry, I see the age difference and it does look significant at first. Then I remember Jordan's retirement, and him winning a title at UNC.I was amazed![]()
Jordan was suspended for a few yearsPretty amazing LeBron already has more career minutes played than Jordan in both the regular season and playoffs.
Of course, you don't believe the silly story about him wanting to play baseball for his dad or that his dad's murder was a random act, do you?For gambling, right?
His fathers murder was a warning, right? Seems like all the pieces fit together.Of course, you don't believe the silly story about him wanting to play baseball for his dad or that his dad's murder was a random act, do you?
The really funny thing here is the Celts just came back from 0-2 in the last series.Right. That was my main point, people like to regurgitate dumb phrases like 'held serve' as if every home team ends the series up 2-0
Maybe it's closer than the historical numbers indicate, but the Celtics have a serious advantage here, much larger than 'holding serve' would indicate
Fast with coordination and vision on his level is a rare combination. When Wall is on he is a ####### joy to watch. Man he is fast.
Yeah, you should definitely cut most of the team.Rozier comes off the bench, plays 19 minutes at PG and ties the team lead in rebounds. I would be cutting guys off the Celtics roster before they got to the locker room and wouldn't let them shower. Pathetic and disgusting effort tonight.

We will always have KD saying "get the #### off the court" to the Jazz mascot. These playoffs are atrocious. Let's just go to the finals.
Behold, the era of the SuperTeam...These playoffs are atrocious. Let's just go to the finals.
The finals should be good, but yea this sucks.Behold, the era of the SuperTeam...
I feel most of the non-Dubs/Cavs series have been entertaining. These playoffs are atrocious. Let's just go to the finals.
Curious to see if the Warriors can finish off the16-0 run? I'm betting no, gonna play them in 5.These playoffs are atrocious. Let's just go to the finals.
They've been ok, but they have a feeling of pointlessness. That jazz/clips series should have had more drama but everyone knew the winner was just going to get smoked in the next round.I feel most of the non-Dubs/Cavs series have been entertaining.
I think the warriors will have a bit tougher WCF so I'll go with them.Who loses a game first, the Warriors or Cavs?
Which game 3 is first? ECF or WCF? Unless Boston takes down the Wiz....I think the Cavs sweep Boston and lose 1 or 2 to the Wiz.Who loses a game first, the Warriors or Cavs?
yeah, for all of the complaining about tanking, the NBA has a bit of an issue at the top. I'm not sure of the ratings of the playoffs, but it seems like a given that you get Cavs-Warriors. I am not sure what the NBA can do about it either, but I also don't remember it being this bad in the past.Who loses a game first, the Warriors or Cavs?
Not really much you can do when the Warriors drafted 3 out 4 stars and needed the stars to perfectly align to nab Durant. The Warriors built through the draft without Top 3 draft picks, but they don't get credit like the Thunder did.yeah, for all of the complaining about tanking, the NBA has a bit of an issue at the top. Yup. The NBA had protections in place to prevent a team like the Warriors from forming. It took four years of incredible drafts, plus two of their three homegrown guys signing extensions before their value skyrocketed, plus a once in a lifetime jump in the cap creating room for Durant. #### happens. And obviously you can't do anything about someone building a composite of Jordan, Magic Johnson and Karl Malone in a lab and unleashing it on an unsuspected world. Not really much you can do when the Warriors drafted 3 out 4 stars and needed the stars to perfectly align to nab Durant. Also nothing you can do about the Cavs when the best player on Earth decides to go there.
Removing the max salary would instantly kill super teams, but I doubt any of the stakeholders actually want to kill super teams. Not really much you can do when the Warriors drafted 3 out 4 stars and needed the stars to perfectly align to nab Durant. I would like to add the Sixers to your last sentence please. Lowry comes back to where he grew up, and the Sixers draft Fultz and Isaac in this draft. Not next year, but the team is set to be there for that 2 season windowYup. The NBA had protections in place to prevent a team like the Warriors from forming. The NBA has no choice but to ride it out for 2-3 more seasons, maybe hope some other superteams form. There's certainly a couple possibilities. Spurs + Chris Paul and Celtics + Paul George or Jimmy Butler are two obvious possibilities.
Good point on the max salary, that would definitely fix it immediately.Removing the max salary would instantly kill super teams, but I doubt any of the stakeholders actually want to kill super teams.
I, for one, hope the Sixers sign Lowry to a max dealI would like to add the Sixers to your last sentence please. Lowry comes back to where he grew up, and the Sixers draft Fultz and Isaac in this draft. Not next year, but the team is set to be there for that 2 season window
yeah lot of concern here that Colangelo will want to make a big signing and splash and do that. Will hold back the team a little because Lowry isn't a young up and comer anymore. He would help the team, but I wouldn't want to be weighed down by his contract for too longI, for one, hope the Sixers sign Lowry to a max deal![]()
Warriors sweeping or beating the Cavs 4-1. HAHAHAHAHACurious to see if the Warriors can finish off the16-0 run? I'm betting no, gonna play them in 5.
That's pretty much the only suspense awaiting us in the Finals.
The question for me would be whether Philly thinks Simmons can learn to shoot. It's going to be tough to play Simmons off the ball until that happens.yeah lot of concern here that Colangelo will want to make a big signing and splash and do that. I'm sure I know much less about basketball than you, but I wouldn't be surprised by any combination of games won by the NBA champ.Warriors sweeping or beating the Cavs 4-1. HAHAHAHAHA
Lowry is going to get very bad, very quick IMO and would be a horrible fit for a Sixers team that is still years away from relevancy. The next two years may be okay, but the Sixers won't be competing for anything so that is kind of useless. The last two years will likely be awful which is when the Sixers might not be an embarrassment. Awful fit.yeah lot of concern here that Colangelo will want to make a big signing and splash and do that. Will hold back the team a little because Lowry isn't a young up and comer anymore. Griffin creating leverage makes sense. Would also make more sense for the Magic to go after a much less expensive, veteran GM to get Orlando going in the right direction. John Hammond in Milwaukee could be a fit.Cap....do you think the recent David Griffin rumors are legit and the Magic are going to offer him boatloads? Not exactly sure what their front office situation is like at the current moment.
When I hear the Hawks and a couple other teams are also in the mix it makes me start to think Griff's camp is floating alot of hot garbage around in order to get some leverage on Gilbert. Hard to believe he wasn't extended last offseason, so maybe he is going to test his worth.
