Houston would gladly take him.Kev4029 said:Here is the list of all the guards 25 or under that had at least 5 win shares last year (Rubio had 5.8). There are very few players as young as Rubio that are as productive, and probably the only one available.
Rubio is certainly a flawed player but if you could pair him with a few shooters, he would be an all-star level PG. He does everything you would want in a PG other than he can't shoot and he finishes at the rim like a guy a foot shorter. He is one of the best defenders at the position, and could easily guard shooting guards, he's a transcendent passer, and rebounds like a small forward. He should easily fetch a mid-to-late lottery pick.
With all that said, I think the T-Wolves should trade him. Dunn looks to be the real deal and they can't play Dunn, Rubio, and Wiggins at the same time because none of them can shoot. Unfortunately, there are a lot of good point guards out there and not many teams which could hide Rubio's weaknesses. San Antonio would be a nice fit. OKC could work if they trade Westbrook. Atlanta might be an ideal fit, if they aren't sold on Schroder. If Miami is looking to rebuild, a Dragic for Rubio swap would be interesting for both sides.
Rubio/harden/Ariza/Anderson/capella
gordon, Beverly, KJ, donuts and nene off the bench
how about dekker, Harrell, a future 1, and Scola to make it happen?
Best I could tell I was so focused on just getting the ball to the rim that I didn't worry about making or missing them.
