Going to be very interesting to see how that works out.

Rondo/Calderon

Wade/Buckets?

Butler/Mirotic

Gibson/Portis

Lopez/?
Apparently Calderon is traded. Mirotic will probably start at 4 so he can stand behind the 3 point line on O. Taj backup 4 and 5.

Jerian Grant and/or Denzel Valentine could get rotation minutes.

What does it matter? The league is going in the direction of two or three "super teams" each year, and the rest of the teams will be completely irrelevant. Just filler until the playoffs start.

I have to say that I think the East will be the more competitive conference in 2017.   I'm a Pacers fan--and I could see them being a top 4-5 team in the East. I do think Chicago just became playoff relevant.   Orlando has an intriguing squad--as does Boston.   Cleveland and Toronto should still be able to remain close to the top.  Detroit, Milkwaukee also have some potential--and sadly enough--event the Knicks could have some moments.      Speaking of the Pacers--do they have any more room to make anymore signings or moves?

I know Wade is a Chicago guy, but wouldn't it be better for him to go to Indiana, Cleveland or Detroit and have a better shot of winning and still be pretty close to his hometown?

I actually don't think this is going to be the worst thing for Miami. They aren't going to do anything next year, but I don't think they were going to do much anyway.

can't you see it man?

They sign Chris Paul and LeBron next year.  Trade Butler for Melo.  Now the Knicks are the old Bulls.

#superteam :coffee:

Bulls fan Nate Duncan thinks the Heat will have a better record next year (than the Bulls)

Isn't the defensive game plan against Chicago going to be "avoid defensive three seconds but otherwise just camp out in the lane"?

If Miami gave Wade an absurd "thank you" extension, he'd still be around too. Riles got him to be a team player, then never really made good, because he was still interested in trying to be competitive, not have a two year Wade Nostalgia Tour.

Should be interesting to say the least to see how Wade fits in with Rondo  Rondo off the ball is a disaster.

Was hoping the Bulls wouldn't sign Wade. Even before Wade, there was a lot more offensive firepower in Chicago than Miami (I don't see Bosh doing anything but prolonging the clock for Miami to get medialcap relief). Thought they'd be vastly improved just moving from Rose to Rondo which would let Mirotic/Portis/McDermott shine offensively. Wade's obviously a great improvement over Rose, but with the same inability to shoot from the perimeter and high usage (and less opportunity for the 3 youngs), the same concerns exist. I definitely didn't see the Bulls needing Wade's offense.

I have been with this team since 88. You can't win every year, win a title every year. That's life. Every team has their runs.We had a hell of a run with Wade and Shaq, then Wade, Lebron and Bosh. Last season was fun too. They will rebuild again. Part of being a fan is watching it grow again. Does not bother me at all. Part of the cycle.

I have no problem with letting him go elsewhere at this point. He gave us 13 excellent years (well 10 if you want to be technical lol). Great free agent crop coming out next off-season.

My heart does not bleed for Wade. The same Wade who got a 90MM shoe contract after the Big  3 came together. Good luck in the Windy City. It's going to be freaking cold in January bro.

BTW...it was Dwyane Wade who came up with the Heat Lifer stuff. How ironic.

At least just 2 year deal. Hoping not player option for a 3rd.

Don't see Taj starting at the 4 or being a Bull for long.

Dwyane Wade has informed the Heat that he will sign with the Chicago Bulls on a two-year deal.
Wade's stunning decision to return to his home town of Chicago, spurning the franchise he spent 13 years with while winning three championships, reportedly stemmed from acrimonious free agent negotiations with Pat Riley and the Heat. The Bucks and Nuggets were also pursuing him but he wasn't able to secure a guaranteed third season in any scenario, so he opted for a two-year deal with a rebuilt Bulls lineup that will presumably start Rajon Rondo, Wade, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Robin Lopez. Wade's gaudy usage rate is sure to fall in Chicago, bumping him down a round or two for fantasy purposes.
