As if no one remembers LeBron leading the Cavs to the greatest NBA finals comeback in history as no other team came back down 3-1 and it was the first win on the road in an NBA finals since like 1978 oh and it was against the greatest regular season team of all time who had a 73-9 record. LeBron had the greatest 3 game stretch in NBA finals history and one thing everyone forgets about Jordan is he went 6-0 because he was favored to win every series. He never had to play against a 73 win team and he never drug a horrible supporting cast to the finals like LeBron did in 2007. LeBron was able to take a team to the finals that had no business being there something Jordan could never do.

How is it different that LeBron' s toughest test came in the finals, but Jordan's came in the East?
The East has been horrible for the better part of a decade during LeBron's run. The same way the East had a lot better teams in the 80's and most of 90's. So LeBron had the easier path to the finals, and Jordan had the easier time in the finals.

That isn't my point. My point was to everyone saying Jordan had no competition in the finals. His best competition came from the East, usually in the ECF. How is that different than LeBron having his best competition in the finals? Why does someone get downgraded because their best competition was before the finals?If the 2nd best team is in your conference why should it matter when you beat them?

I'm no Lebron lover, but that 2012 OKC team with Durant, Westbrook, Harden, and Ibaka was pretty damn talented as well.

Which is the bigger accomplishment though?
A. Jordan going 6-0 in the finals
or
B. Lebron making 7 straight finals appearances
They should rename the Patrick Ewing theory the James Harden theory. No team is winning a ring with his defense.

Both are amazing accomplishments, and someone trying to downplay one to prop up the other player is pretty weak.

They are both awesome. It is hard to compare, and in reality there is no wrong answer.
Some people value the doing it with one team, going unbeaten in the finals, coming back after 2 years off as better.
Some people see taking 2 different teams with different players, going to them all in a row more impressive.
Some people say coming back from 3 - 1 is more impressive, some say never having to comeback is more impressive. Ghost said it best, you can like who you like. I have a problem when people try to down play what the other guy did to make make their argument.

Born and raised here. Still remember the devastation of Jordan hitting "The Shot" over Ehlo... HATED Jordan back in the day. HATED HIM. Now I respect the hell out of him. So glad I got to be able to watch him play when I was old enough to actually be able to remember. I think a lot of you who hate Lebron now will be looking back in 20 years the same way I look at Jordan now. You hate him as he kills your teams, but you end up appreciating being able to watch a generational player... Watching Mike Frattello working the team to grind out 80-78 victories..
I remember cheering on Shawn Kemp being a shell of his former self... Tyrone Hill's ugly self.. Having to root on the likes of Chris Mills, Bobby freakin Phills.. Was devastated when LeBron left. Hated him like a jilted girlfriend. Took awhile for me to accept him coming back. But we won a championship with him. The first in 52 years. I was downtown with the 1000s of people in the streets of Cleveland after game 7 last year. You have no idea how amazing that was for the city. So yeah.. There are some real Cavs fans here.
Oh, and the whole "Hey does _____ team have any REAL fans/?" shtick is kind of sad and tired... You don't remember how little fans Golden State had before the "Splash Brothers" showed up? Come on... There were more Lakers fans in your town than Golden State fans before they built that team. Fans love stars. You will always have bandwagon fans. It's OK. It just means there is a bandwagon to jump on. I'll take that ANY day over 50+ years of disappointment.

I do not want to get into the whole Jordan v. LeBron debate (because it does not matter) but let's not re-write history to make your point.
The Bulls beat the following teams in the finals:
Lakers: Magic (admittedly at the end of his career, but still), Worthy, Divac, Perkins
Trail Blazers: Drexler, Porter
Suns: Barkly, Marjerle, K. Johnson, Ainge
Supersonics: Kemp
Jazz (x2): Malone, Russell, Stockton
None of those teams were "weak". Sure they are not the Warriors though either. The Blazers team was likely the worst team out of all of them, but they still a solid team.
