Last chance for any of you on the GS train.  I'll take the Cavs at 2 to 1 odds, which should be better than the 2.15 to 1 odds at the books.

although Thompson had a down season this year and is the clear statistical loser with Durant on the team
Sorry, but this is just plain wrong. I know it's a common narrative, but Klay had an almost identical season this year to '15-'16, in fact he had the highest average points-per-game of his career this year. The player whose offense suffered the most with Durant on the team was Draymond Green.

Dang, you are right.  I'd heard that throughout the year and have really only watched the playoffs (where he has really struggled).

The Cavs have more than a fighting chance.  Love is playing the best he's ever played for the Cavs and Kyrie and LeBron are healthy.  When those three play well, their offense is tough to stop.  Throw in a few guys that know their roles and they are a complete team.  Their big 3 will play heavier minutes than GSW's big 4 and that may end up being the difference, but with all of the time between games, the Cavs shorter bench won't be as big of a factor.
Lebron is the best player in the series and I feel like at the end of this series everyone will be saying Kyrie was the second best.

Right, but also Stockton and Malone weren't the second and third best players in the league like Curry and Durant (winners of the last three MVP trophies) are, so I had to make up that difference a little.

Anyway, the details weren't really important. The broader point was that simply having the best player of all time (if LeBron is that) doesn't automatically give you a 50/50 shot no matter the competition. At some point the opposition can be so stacked that any player would be the clear underdog even with a solid roster around him.  That's the case here. Warriors are currently -250.
No, that's not the case.  You are ignoring that Golden State has home court advantage.

Wish I had an online account.  I think the money play is to hope the Warriors win tonight and then get the Cavs at 3 to 1 odds.  Maybe it won't go that high.

-170 pre-playoffs and I think +450 on a sweep just for poops and giggles.  Happy to sacrifice the latter to the Basketball Gods.
Interesting that's moved to -270 (+220 Cavs).  If you went big a straddle would definitely be in play.

If they didn't they'd still be clear favorites. Wizards/Cs was considered a basically push talent-wise and by SRS and whatnot and the Cs were around -150
GS would be only slight favorites on a neutral floor.  I'm not sure if that's how you define "clear"

   Very excited for this to start.  Hoping the Cavs can pull off another series.  Last year was one of the most amazing experiences of my life being downtown Cleveland and partying with thousands of ecstatic people after game 7.  In my drunken ecstatic state I kept telling my wife "THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!" only to correct myself a few moments later and say "Except when we got married and the kids were born."  :lmao:   Happened more than once.  She's a trooper.

Good luck to all the fans on both sides!  This is pretty cool watching these teams go at it again 3 years in a row.  I keep telling the kids these series are the ones they will remember for the rest of their lives.  Reminds me of the Lakers vs. Celtics matchups when I was a kid.  Seemed like they were always battling it out.

This is as big of a lock as Hillary winning the election.

All in on GS to take it down.  Only thing up in the air is whether they sweep or not.

Cavs win in 7. Lebron ascends to the throne as the greatest ever. Basketball Internet and I love the 90s sub-reddits melt down. Jordan hires Lebron to run the Hornets, assuming Lebron would be better than him at that also.

Jordan was better at baseball than he is running the Hornets

I've got a bad case of the butterflies after waiting a year for this. I can't imagine what it must be like to be playing.
Looks like butterflies for them too.  Should have given them another 2 weeks off and matched them up vs. UNC.

Is anyone else's ABC feed flickering/flashing?  I've tried 2 different feeds and they both are doing it.  No other channels are.
