Yep on all accounts.I'll believe Jed has changed only when I see it. He knows his approval rate among the fan base is low. He needs to do some damage control right now. I'm warming up to the Lynch hire more now that Peters is on board. I think Shanahan will be a good HC. Shanahan and Lynch probably only agreed to come on board if they received long contracts and a promise that Jed would stay out of the way, since no one else wanted to be here it seems. They wield all of the power right now with the hole Jed has dug himself into. If this team is still a mess three years into this experiment I can see Jed getting back into his old habits is all I'm saying.
I hope he has changed/grown/learned from past mistakes, but I'm not holding my breath.
As far as Jed, my hope is that he has ####ed things up so bad, that he realizes (how could you not if you have any self awareness at all) that he needs to stay away from football operations. Do whatever rich kids do and leave the football business to the guys who can get it done.
Lynch seems like the guy who surrounds himself with other smart people. An important trait for a GM.
Lynch will have final say over the draft and 90 man roster, while Shanahan has final say on the 53 man roster. Makes sense and pretty obvious Shanahan will have a lot of input on Lynch's "final say" in the draft. As it should be. Coach and GM working together. What a concept.
