Long Ball Larry

chapman's reaction to the GS.
That was brutal. He got away with the first one and I was hoping he would not immediately go back to the well but...oof. I thought it was the right move from Roberts, as I thought Blanton could have gotten through the inning and I liked the Dodgers' chances in the 9th with Chapman out, but Blanton picked a most inopportune time to replace his slider with his gopher ball instead.Prince Myshkin said:3 straight hangers...
Everything I've seen from this guy just looks like an all-star and completely legit. Looked bad on a slider or two, but compensated nicely.Doctor Detroit said:Baseballwere too hard on a 22-year-old Baez last year. "Will never be able to control K rate, too aggressive at plate, bad pitch recognition," etc. I'm a big believer and his star is rising. Lowered K rate, fast on the bases, decent power, and a phenomenal fielder.
And just wait until he's comfortable enough to start employing his power profile, this is a 40 HR upside guy IMO. One of my favorite young players in the game.![]()
The game was still really close, there was a runner in scoring position, and you have a fully rested bullpen. I would have fallen out of my chair in shock had Maddon done anything other than what he did. Even if it didn't work, it was the right call. Can someone explain why Maddon pulled Lester after 6 innings and 77 pitches? Was he greedy and thought this game was wrapped up and he might be able to start Lester in game 4?
I'm not saying the court action is without merit, but why not bring it up when we were there in July? Oh, wait. No one was paying attention then.A prominent indigenous activist and architect is seeking a court ruling that would prevent the Cleveland Indians from wearing their regular jerseys, using their team name and displaying their logo when they play against the Blue Jays in Toronto this week.
Bc all they're doing is seeking attention. Here we go again...

Dudes from highland park.. lived down street from the Bush family...Kershaw looks like he smells bad.
Wicked smart defensive play.Doctor Detroit said:Baseballwere too hard on a 22-year-old Baez last year. That was really bad baseball, he's completely lost out there.Puig - that was laughable
If Dodgers can win one of the next two then you can start him game 5 and then possibly use him sometime in game 7. Really hope that is how all this plays out. When does superman return to the mound in this series?
Game 5 would be three days rest. But Roberts and Honeycutt are going to ride their horses. If Dodgers can win one of the next two then you can start him game 5 and then possibly use him sometime in game 7. Really hope that is how all this plays out.

Caveman was a rightyDoes anyone see the resemblance between Kershaw and the Geico Caveman?
I think he might pitch 2-2 also. Only scenario I can really see them wait until game 6 is if they are up 3-1.Might depend on where it sits after four games. If LA is down 3-1, he's gonna pitch.
Their twitter bio now reads:A social media editor for the Indians' verified Twitter account seized on the quote to introduce their theory for why the Jays scored only one run in their two losses to begin the series.
Replying to USA Today reporter Mike Vorkunov, who tweeted Bautista's full quote, the Indians' account sent out a photograph montage featuring relievers Andrew Miller and Cody Allen and starters Corey Kluber and Josh Tomlin accompanied by the word "circumstances."

Yeah, this is pretty good. Don't know WTF Bautista is whining about.Jose Bautista says there are "circumstances" working against the Jays in the ALCS![]()

yea, but if they're up 3-1, he can end it right there in LA. i can see a rationalization for all scenarios.Doctor Detroit said:I think he might pitch 2-2 also. Only scenario I can really see them wait until game 6 is if they are up 3-1.
