Simmons and fultz are both creative and can score or get others great opps to score.  It's a great situation to have

Definitely not. I just worry that Saric's success last year was MCW's ROTY success of padded #s due to the fact he was their only scoring option with all the injuries the last two months. I actually was one of the first people to suggest trading MCW after his rookie year as i didn't think he was as good as his numbers and was basically a guy padding stats on a terrible team. Then when they Took Payton I thought for sure they trade MCW but traded Payton to Get Saric's rights. DOn't get me wrong i like the guy however his biggest issue in Europe that Niko didn't have then was consistency and he wasn't lightening up the scoreboard with effiencey stats that Niko was and Saric was in one of the weaker leagues in Euro ball on the apparent best team in the league and having trouble getting playing time. Those things worry me and jump out as concerns with those guys. As for Niko I knew he wasn't gonna shoot 55%-50% from 3PT range or whatever the crazy #s were in the NBA and they'd go down. I just didn't expect this play from him. If we don't keep him someone else will and reap the benefits. I'm hoping maybe Pop gets a hold of him as that'd be really fun to watch. 

 
I don't see why the Celtics would do this. The best player in next year's draft is Porter who is a SF/PF and Doncic who is a SG/SF...after that it's 3 rim protectors.  Seems like a lot of redundancy and they're basically committing to a bad IT contract, but assets.

It'd be like watch an episode of Jersey Shore unfold. I only watched the show 3 times when it came out. I couldn't believe how dumb those clowns were. Then two yrs ago I read an Entertainment Magazine or one of those types of mags that exposed Jersey Shore and Duck Dynasty as nothing more then manufacture shows and the BS drama created was all staged. I kind of figured that yrs ago with reality TV

 
Seems like a lot of people are down on Saric.  Trade him to the Pistons,we will gladly take him and give you Drummond.  Since. Philly loves centers.

Dude don't hate on My Nova Boy... Lowry is a very solid player. He's not in the Durant LeBron tier but I think he's on that 2nd Tier of PGs. The thing is he doesn't get enough press being in Tor. Lowry has a really good game. He's also extremely friendly guy. My store is on the main Live where Nova is so they are about 15 mins off the main highway 76. A lot of the basketball players live off campus and Lowry use to come into my store all the time when he was at Nova. I actually saw him just the other week. We didn't really chat as both of us were in a hurry. As for Ball I don't see him as a Lowry. Lowry defensively is a lot better and that Stroke scares me. It looks like it can be blocked easily. It seems very slow to develop.

No I actually don't post on my board and it's more of a baseball board because it's more of a 76ers thread. Almost no one besides one other poster is interested in talking anything about the NBA outside the Sixers. I've found way more inteligiant talk here and in the 76ers thread here then I ever did where I was.

Sounds like it's a Swap of Picks only no players but as usually things change fast on trades. one min a player is involved and 30 mins later he's totally off the table. Last I heard

I'm not a Sixers fan but if I was I'd be more then OK if Sac and LA picks went to acquire an already established Star. I don't like giving assets away to grab a guy with Potential.

Isaac has been moving up the draft boards big time too I've read. I've only seen bits and pieces mentioned so I really don't know a lot about him.

Maybe they want to get as much assets possible and put a young cheap team together. I didn't hear about Doncic till I was in my NBA2K franchise and downloaded a draft class for that year. Ended up taking Doncic as I saw he was big foreign and could shoot which I needed. Now I love the guy and have been reading some actual real info on the guy.

LOL it's the complete opposite here in Philly. A lot of people I see act like Embiid, Simmons and Saric will be first ballot HoFers and they are putting together an 83 type team again. It's another reason I actually like this board instead. The 76ers fans here don't have such hot takes and the opinions and discussions are intelligent and informative. However go on Facebook to CSN Philly page and someone mentions trading Saric for #1 people act like you slept with their mother. I'm only down on him do to somethings I saw and i know a lot of people don't follow Euroleague. I started to in extent to keep track of Nikola Mirotic after Chi drafted him.

As an fsu guy I'm not really a fan. Maybe he'll be a stud down the road but he never really seemed to dominate any game.

So sixers potential dream lineup would be Fultz/SG/Embiid/Saric/Simmons?

____________ was a #1 pick (#2 or #3 if need be) who played on a losing team with a horrific team defense, against a soft defensive conference schedule, didn't do well in the few games against elite defensive matchups, didn't do well in (or make) the NCAA tournament, but still turned into a bonafide NBA superstar worth that top pick.

Yes. I have been banging that drum on fultz for a while. UW wasn't just bad, they were like 9-22 or some ####. That has to be at least taken into account. 

 
So it's that time again where Ainge leaks all these amazing deals he's going to do to increase the value of all his assets, and all his buddies in the Boston media eat it all up. Then we'll find out after the fact that he was "really close" when all the other teams say he was only offering 2 2020 2nd rounders for Butler.

Fultz went 9-22 in a mediocre conference. I dunno, that's just really strange to me. I hate to sound like Simmons with a simpleton take like that, but it is hard to look past.

I get the concern, but where else are you going to go?  JJ?  Ball had almost 40 dropped on him in the tourny.

I would say Ben Simmons was the sameway last year. Bad conference, not great defenses, best player on a very bad team that didn't make the Dance didn't show up in games he should've and got dominated by better competition especially against Kentucky. Maybe Fultz is the something. However sometimes these guys end up being really good players.

You never really know.  I thought Michael Beasley was going to be a beast based on his college game.  I was kind of disappointed the Bulls took Rose, but years later it didn't really matter.  Although Rose game me some great moments during his time in Chicago.  Guy might be welcomed back...

Considering our PG issues a non healthy Rose is better then any of the guys behind Rondo. Maybe DRose takes a home town discount. I made this idea a while ago when Rose wasn't injured and Butler still here but Rose isn't really a pass first PG or really a guy who can run the offense. Why not have Rose at SG, Rondo at PG and Butler at the SF? Rose can play his game and not worry about being a ball distributor. I'm just thinking out loud here though. I always thought it was best for Rose and Butler to move one Pos up and get a PG who could play the QB of the offense. If needed Rose could always play PG as well. 

I very rarely buy any hype on these Players today. I believe a lot of this is media generated do to how poor many prospects have been in the draft and perk teams who aren't in the playoffs something to stay interested in their teams. You never know but there was a great Yahoo Sports Article last March/April where the guy basically broke down Simmons game and all before that draft explaining why he believed Simmons was more media hype then anything else. One of the reasons he said was outside of Simmons/Ingram the talent pool was a crap shoot at best. In yrs this happens media members and even scouts to a degree tend to overate certain prospects. This especially happens in Football at the QB position in weaker draft class years as well as other positions.

Yeah, when taking into consideration the perceived value of a number ONE pick I want something more proven than what Fultz did in 1/2 season in the PAC-12.

Ainge seems sharp and I wouldn't be surprised if he passed on Fultz and got a really good deal in return.

This is my take. Maybe he really likes one of the others guys but at #1 he knows thats kid of an overdraft and knows at 3 he can argue more of taking said player there

I'm just a fan done with Rose.  HIs twitch is what made him an MVP.  Without it, he is a rotational player on a good team.  The next Deron Williams. If the Bulls Contend in the next several years, I'd love Rose off he bench.

Word is that Ainge loves Josh Jackson and that trading back to #3 saves them about 1.3M in cap space which gets them closer to max cap space to sign Hayward.

So much BS floating around right now though.

yeah, as it stands now, if the Celts make a max offer to a FA, they not only have to clear Olynyk & other bench guys, but cant activate both their Euro redshirts (Dancingbear Yabusele & Icic Icicic) who may both be better than Trumphands Brown. With that 1.3M, they just barely can

I think it's legit. Basketball is the one sport where a stud can have the greatest impact. Steph Curry took Davidson to the tourney multiple times.
