Just read that before the draft, an anonymous Eastern Conference executive called Luke Kennard the next Chris Mullin.

It was probably a Pistons exec and they're probably the ones who think that, but I'm sold.

 
Bulls are going to suck hard and they are going to suck long. Lots of lottery picks coming up. Draft nights are going to be exciting for the next decade at least.

Every team fans are gonna up their players. I live in Philly and people acted like Okafor was this great player. I'm not really high on Simmons at all. I think he's a Rudy Gay overhyped prospect that was in a weak draft. However there's people in Philly putting this guy in the HoF. Don't get me started on Sports radio in Philly. It's god awful all sports. It makes the hot takes in this thread look educational. That Mikey Miss idiot today said Jason Peters came back from an Achilles injury and was the 2nd pick for the Eagles in the draft. He was talking to Elton Brand about the NBA draft and Brand I believe tore his achilles. What he meant to say was Sidney Jones 2nd rounder who was drafted. One of the problems i think happens with people is they just look at the highlights and buy into the media hype. Manziel was a poor mans Tebow in College. I basically called that RG3 would be out of the league in 5 yrs and friends of mine thought I was crazy. People buy the hype in guys without doing research. The sad thing is I think I watched more Ben Simmons in college being a Florida/SEC fan then many of fans in Philly who claimed to know a lot about him. Not all fans are that bad. The Sixers fans here are way better then what I've dealt with on another board.

If it wasn't for Dwayne Wade we wouldn't have a pot to piss in. At least he'll make for entertaining basketball when he plays...

i would say it was closer to 30% liked him, and a lot hated him from the day he joined the team. I was certainly never a fan. Felt bad for the kid with the amount of hate he got though, not his fault totally.

Never was his fault. I think the media deserves a lot of blame on these guys. Expects these kids to do what they think they should then when they don't they are horrible yet expectations most times are really unrealistic.

At least bad broadcasting is funny. Who was the guy the Browns took before Manziel? The 27 year old rookie? Brandon Weeden.

That's the thing too, half these guys end up busting, lol.

I'm not understanding the hate from Bulls fans. The #7, Lavine, and Dunn seems like a nice haul for Butler. It'd be nice to get rid of Wade and Rondo too, but.. baby steps.

Wade is either going to get traded for some extra nets (not Nets,) is going to get bought out, or is going to sleepwalk through 30 games and then go to IR. Mirotic is gone, Rondo is gone. 

How do you trade an all-NBA player and not get Wiggins back? They didn't even get a first round pick back! They got an overrated wing player with a torn ACL, a likely mega-bust PG, and moved up 9 spots in exchange for a bona-fide superstar. Isiah Thomas is laughing at this deal.
