76ers released Gerald Henderson which is a possible move to free up a spot for Furkan Kormaz who apparently will be bought out by his Euro Team and should be playing in Philly next season. Henderson do 9M Per CSN The Sixers are still working out the details of the buyout and Korkmaz's FIBA (International Basketball Federation) clearance, a source tells CSNPhilly.com's Jessica Camerato, but Korkmaz playing for the Sixers in 2017-18 "very well may happen."

Bulls Released Isiah Canaan as well today. Apparently want to give a ton of Mins to Payne and Dunn which I'm all for. The Question is Gar/Pax talk the talk when it always comes to letting the kids play but the Season comes around and their mins are yanked around like a hot potato. Go a whole week without playing then they are getting huge mins or starting do to injury. More consistency would be nice.

Well, this year there might not been anyone else to give the minutes to.

Remember when Orlando traded the same players for 1 year of Ibaka.

If this #### isn't rigged, I swear.

Remember when people spent 6 months killing the magic for trading worthless oladipo?
He's still worthless...I mean this is now 3 of the best 10 NBA players "traded" for scraps.  Just incredible.  No one wants to be paying these guys 30-35 million in 2020 on.

Fantastic move by OKC...they gave up little and became very relevant for 2017-2018...they will probably lose George after this year but why not roll the dice and see if you can figure this out...this is awful for Indiana (unless there is more them Aladipo and Sabonis coming and even then how much more can it be)...I don't see any angle where this makes sense for the Pacers...you could easily get this deal at the deadline and even then it would still be underwhelming...this team is heading for a real tough stretch...

I also think that article posted last week was kind of right. No one is gonna trade a whole lot for these guys given only so few teams have a legit shot at titles.

Boston has to top that offer for George.  It's nice having the best 3rd team in the league with depth but they have no chance without getting a couple of stars.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is ever any truth to what the Celts claim teams are demanding to trade with them.

Both the Bulls and Pacers were allegedly demanding multiple lottery picks and starters. Then Butler and George get traded for way less.

More to the point, tha cap is going to be basically flat for the foreseeable future while all these contracts will increase 7.5% a year.  Unless you have a shot at the title, you don't want to be locking up 35% of you cap on top 10ish talent.  Top 1-5 is one thing, but we are seeing the bifurcation of the superstar market.

Amazing trade for OKC if true.  Just getting out of Oladipo's grossness makes it worth it.  I'm wondering if it's truly only Oladipo and Sabonis.

that's the 2nd thing i thought of with this. Seems to be a trend with that front office low balling galore expecting teams to cave. As a Sixers fan i totally get protecting future assets, but missing out on Butler and George with what seems like mediocre returns is telling. Hopefully this will stop the media hoopla

Bo harm reaching for the stars and asking for the most for YOUR TOP TALENT AND GUYS WHO ARE TOP GUYS IN THE LEAGUE. If you don't ask you don't know. Most of the time negotiations start high and teams reach a happy medium

If they don't get Hayward...

has been a trend for a few years. I forget what the rumors were last year surrounding Noel and deals with Celtisc but they were way over the top as well

There just seems like there is so much smoke...if media reports are to be believed in less then 24 hours the Pacers went from asking for Bradley, Crowder, the Nets #1 and the Lakers # 1 to getting Oladipo and Sabonis...there seems to be a very big disconnect there...

Lol. I know. Beyond that there's nothing there though. We did this last time. NBA players aren't required to play for the team that's closest to where they grew up.
No but it just makes ratings banter. It's no different then people here in Philly wanting the Phillies to take Mike Trout.

Why wouldn't Indy just wait a few days to see how free agency plays out? Makes no sense to rush a deal, you telling me this OKC deal isnt there for them at any point in the next couple of months?

There is no way, unless the Celtics are saving up for something huge, they have totally botched this offseason.

With Ricky Rubio headed to Utah & Jeff Teague likely headed to Minnesota that could mean George Hill back to San Antonio

Knicks can't afford Kyle Lowry. Doesn't appear they'll bring back Rose....so maybe Rondo.

Welcome Paul George to the OKC Thunder.   I was getting pissed that OKC wasn't going after any of the big names to make a splash this offseason.  Guess the OKC management needed to get a big name to keep Westbrook happy.

Lots of wishful thinking that Ainge just compiling assets to entice New Orleans at some point for Davis.

Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me for New Orleans, as why trade Davis for a chance to get a player that turns out to be another Davis.

This is the only scenario that would make what happened since the trade deadline acceptable.

This is karma on the Celtics for being stingy bastards.
You sound a lot like Patriot fans who used to get impatient with BB...Ainge has done a fantastic job rebuilding this team and while many are getting impatient (and I understand why) I have total faith that this will work out well...if we get to opening day and they are still sitting on their hands then I think the heat is going to be turned up real hot...but right now there is no need to panic...
