Gotta be tough losing by 9 having a stretch of 0-27 from 3. They could have closed their eyes and done better. So many of those were wide open too. So bad.

Game 1 is at 9:05p on Thursday May 31st 2018 (NBA Finals schedule in full). The Warriors have home court advantage and are favored in game one and in the series.

Cleveland hopes to have recovered from the injuries and fatigue caused by a brutal Final series against Boston, which saw Kevin Love having to miss game 7. Opening series price and game 1 spread and total are below:

Series Price

Cleveland +235
Golden State -260

Game 1

Cleveland +11.5
Golden State -11.5

Not much of a house edge on those lines.

Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, but if that's what it is then that's what it is.

I hope they get their act together and get a sportsbook in Ohio so I can bet every cent I have on the Warriors at -260. Prolly not gonna happen in time.

Bookmaker has GS -1000, Cleveland +664.  That isn't correct info

The most amazing thing out of all of this is that many many people voted for James Harden over Lebron for mvp.
Well, it's for the regular season.  Bron was not even remotely close to what he is right now.  He pretty openly doesnt try in the regular season.  He has even said the past couple years that he doesnt expect to win any more MVPs because of the way he approaches the regular season.

I know my opinion is skewed because my team is still in it but I think this has been one of the better playoffs in a while
The games just don't even resemble the regular season basketball games. The drama is cool and all but the games have been awful. Teams looking so unnatural. Games barely going over 200 points. Rockets looked like they were barely trying the last two games.

At this point, I'm hoping by some rigged miracle that Lebron James can beat the Warriors. I'm a Warriors fan but them winning is meaningless. Might as well pull for the underdog at this point.

The Rockets scored 25 and 38 points in the 2H the last two games. The Warriors scored 64 and 58. What a joke of a team. You're playing for the Finals and you can't even score 50 points in the 2H in two consecutive games? Absolutely disgusting.

NBA fans got robbed of an all-time great series when Chris Paul got injured.  Iggy's injury robbed us to a lesser degree, but losing Paul really just tremendously changed games 6 & 7.  This series would have been one for the ages.  Instead, it was a highly competitive, exciting, and often times poorly-played series.

Hopefully better basketball is played in the Finals.  Either way, I love watching the playoffs every year.......at least I've loved it in the years 1980-1997, and probably for about the past decade.

The first two games I watched all season in entirety (ECF/WCF Game 7) - I followed along all year with highlights, stats, etc..

My biggest gripe about the NBA continues to be the predictability, it’s why my interest is way down. I find it interesting that ratings were strong this season. I knew this would be the finals, everyone knew this would be the finals - I find it hard to see the interest when the outcome is so obvious.

Did anyone really think the finals would be different than this?

Anyway, I’ve got GS in 6... Should I hold off on my Jordan honk shtick until after the series is over?  Honestly though, Lebron is ####### awesome.

It's playoffs.

There's no games against the Knicks, Kings, or Suns to pad the stats and keep it flowing.

It's two of the best teams playing 7 games in two weeks. Hard to keep it free flowing when your opponent knows what you're going to do.

The Rockets played hard and played well...but they're missing CP3. It's a testament to the team that they kept it so competitive the past two games.

I realize that they played the way they played the whole season and the shots just weren't falling, but how does Houston not attack Klay Thompson on every possession when he returns to the game in the 2nd with 3 fouls?  They get him his 4th before halftime and the game is way different.  A 5th early in the 3rd and they wouldn't have seen him until the mid 4th.

Likely wouldn't matter with Durant and Steph going off, but that's just bad basketball IQ there.  Unacceptable for a team in the conference finals IMO.
