2017 College Football Thread: Hawaiian QB devastated to find out Jesus was "kinda rooting for Georgia" (2 Viewers)

Well that's why I brought it up. You call Joe Mixon "a garbage human being" but seem to be the 2nd (behind Capella of course) in stiff arming anything at your place.  People living in glass houses and all that.

Here is the story that should have been linked.
Oregon kicked those players to the curb, even though those players were never charged or convicted.  I don't think every athlete at Oregon is a boy scout, but at least those guys were dismissed. Baylor is a different situation entirely.

:lmao:

You're the guy who keeps on yapping about this stuff while your school covered up rapes. Come on. :lmao:

Also link to where I ever once defended Joe Mixon. Now you're just full of ####.
Didn't defend him punching the girl, but you did defend his right to play. I see my post was unclear on that.

There are incidents at most Universities, even places like UCLA and the Naval Academy aren't immune.  I agree that Baylor lost institutional control, pretty sickening actually.  Them losing to ultra religious Liberty also was like Jesus piling on, which is even sweater justice.  Baylor sucks, they can lose every game forever and I'm cool with it.

Also I love GM and Capella, glad it's CFB season again!

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Liberty hire Baylor's disgraced ex-AD. I don't think they have any morally superior ground to stand on.

Didn't know that but it's not surprising, here is the background for anyone who hasn't read it.

Art Briles may never coach again but the AD gets a job at Jerry Falwell U and Ken Starr just gets to keep doing the menacing stuff he's been doing for decades.  It goes to the complex nature of these things and also shows you something about privilege and pedigree.

I went to Liberty back when Jerry Sr. was alive, and the school wasn't nearly as hypocritical, or at least it seemed that way. I disagree with a lot of what they've done lately, especially regarding Trump and the former Baylor AD.

All of you people saying mean things about Baylor better just stop and think about Chip and Joanna's kids for a second.

Well-placed sources indicate Baylor is this close to offering a minor in shiplap. (As opposed to offering a minor to sit on your lap.)

Seriously, there was grade A tail everywhere last night.  That may have been greatest spectacle of my life - it's all down hill from here.   :kicksrock:

And you should see these goobers walking around with these women - bunch of Beej and Beej Jr.'s with a damn harem with them.

One day, I'm hoping a man with logic and wisdom can explain to me the draw and appeal of Lane Kiffen.  Is there a worse coach in the world who continues to land jobs?  Skip Holtz maybe?
Did you see the Bama offense last night? The hope is FSU's D is great (very likely), but Daboll called a dud.

I watched Oregon last night.  Kiffen might be a good coordinator (think that's augmented having USC and Bama recruits bigly) but I believe he is an awful head coach.

I think it's more FSU than the playcalling.  That was a defensive slugfest for most of the game.  I did think we were going to get rolling after that long TD catch but we went right back to the three and outs.  I will cut them some slack.

We beat the hell out of francois

Ashamed to say that McCaw is a fellow alum and he had an infamous stint as our AD in which his biggest accomplishment was causing a complete uproar by trying to get rid of the Minutemen mascot to become the "Gray Wolves". He was gone to Baylor shortly thereafter.

Then again, my team just lost to Coastal Carolina, which was making its FBS debut. So our alums (and myself) have plenty to be salty about today.

You'll always have Lou roe

Francois out for the year.

Glad I waited 8 months for that.

Gator fans -- what's it like to not have a QB and know you realistically don't have a title shot on September 3? Please advise.

Well, I've been waiting close to 3 years now for Josh Rosen, the all star quarterback, the #1 NFL draft pick, the best Bruins QB since Aikman, to finally show up. Will today be the day? About to find out.

For over 40 years, ever since I was 12 years old, I was lucky enough to see almost all of the Bruins home games at the Rose Bowl. Thanks to my dad, we had great season tickets on the 25 yard line. I could never have afforded them myself.

It ended last year. My dad is 82, and just got tired of the long drive to Pasadena. UCLA raised ticket prices and that was his excuse for ending it. So it seems weird to me sitting here at home watching this game.

Rosen's got a great arm but his judgment is still in question and there's very little mobility. If I'm an NFL team, I definitely take Darnold first, Rosen second (though I haven't seen the kid from Wyoming.)

He's gotten worse each season.  He's now behind Darnold, Browning, Falk and Herbert IMO.

Eta in the Pac12

There's a long game yet to be played. But the Bruins have to protect Rosen and get some running game going, or it's going to be ugly.
