Imagine for 40 years, sitting next to Tim at the Rose Bowl and hearing things like "Josh Rosen is a quarterback. If his accuracy gets better, he will be a good quarterback" and "this USC defense is the greatest defense of all-time" as they give up 45 points. 

Over time you start to hate the quips, but then they grow on you, and then you love them. You even tell your wife "this is the greatest lasagna of all-time" as she pulls a Stouffer's out of the oven and sharing a knowing laugh because football is near. 

But then you show up for the new season and...and Tim isn't there. Kind of sad actually.
